Wayne,

I think we're over thinking this thing. You want a light fast superb unobtanium XC bike.

Just get a 2021 Scalpel..

Ride review coming soon but first I have another 24hrs with this dirty little skank.

I feel 20 yrs younger

Wayne specifically mentioned not wanting a one-forked treat in the OP.

I agree with him, a scalpel is a great bike, but it is not neither boutique nor rare.

I just can’t, my personality just won’t allow me to go for a bigger brand and bump into someone with a matching bike, but mostly my OCD will not allow a lefty - I’ve tried to own 2 cannondales and they were fantastic but the look just killed me

No doubt they are fantastic

genuinely thinking of building a new one but then I have sell all my boost parts. wheels forks (unless the front of a bike can be boost but not the rear)

You could definitely run boost fork ans

dstandard rear if you wanted to just by buying one hub. My Jeffsy was boost rear and standard fork and you couldn't even notice it.

Wayne, have you thought about a bike from the Athertons?

They do custom frames to spec, ti lugs with carbon tubing.

It looks pretty different and apparently comes out super light, super strong and I would bet you would have the only one in SA....

Found yourself riding in a wide clockwise circle no matter what you did?

Will google now but I’ve got a case of the “must have nows”. I have my Pyga refund and if I don’t spend it I might waste it on something sensible

That Unno is calling but I fear it might be beyond my budget

this is NO place for that sort of negativity!

Plus, if it's 5k out of budget, is it really out of budget?

Dropped them a mail - I don’t mind a reasonable wait with a delivery date - just not a it will be ready when it’s ready scenario

It’s not 5 ! It’s 5000 euros plus transport

Also in my OP that was really stretching it

Don’t worry, I really want you to hate me so the Unno is definitely in pole position - May have to sell a bike

Tell you what. I'll buy that Curve of yours.

Just to help you cover the costs and shipping of the Unno.

Because I'm so nice.

That Curve is going nowhere - that’s my number 1

If I had any sense I wouldn’t even be looking at an XC bike, it won’t get that much use
