hahaha legend post. I will let our mechanics know this asap. This is our new disc bike that has just been handed out. 7.3kg for this bike in a medium and can lose some fat with a few changes like wheels etc but really good.

I ride a 51cm or a 53cm neh

but I prefer tan wall tyres.

Importantly, the riders did protest about safety.

This is a recurring concern.

What will the institutional powers do to respond?

Protests are becoming far more normative these days.

It is largely a good thing.

They protest but they don't actually ever really take a stand.. neutralise the race.. take away what the race organisers and governing body want.. racing.

That looks hot, John. I love the long stem, who rides that one?

The road was really bad and steep in gradient, it was also longer that originally thought when you descended. By longer I mean the bad section of the road. I think also with the cars and bikes going down 1st before riders moved alot of loose stone and so forth around adding the mess.

The remaining descents over the week were really good road surface, but when you doing 100kmh + the slightest mistake is costly.

My 2c.

Hi John

I find it interesting (and sad) to see such a lot of mishaps after the lockdown and most pro's being on the IDT longer than usual (years).

Taking account the small margin of error it takes to fall, don't you think that the lockdown caused them to loose some of their superior skills?

This was debated but when you see how they ride a bike and what they do on them from a handling point I would say no. It is a total extension of their body. For example the day Formolo won I was the follow car, he hit 120km/h down the Madeleine and came into a left hander and his rear pushed and bounced a good amount. He simply corrected and went on. It was a pucker moment for myself and the mechanic and he said it was wild when we spoke. No concern.

The racing at Dauphine was insane the stages were incredibly hard. Everyone was not heir limit daily and with that mistakes happen.

That day must have been insane. It looked like 5 days of flat out, balls deep flexing.

You must be stoked to see the Pgfather getting stronger (or less fatigued) over the week.

Formolo looked so smooth when he broke. That guy is showing some decent form after getting 2nd at Strade Bianche.

UAE hopefully peaking at the right time and avoiding too many crashes. Bora and Jumbo have a few questions over their squads suddenly after the weekend!

The reason I knew is cause I was following Kristoff in the struggle bus yesterday and Sagan was there also, their car came up next to us and asked for a coke so we said we have coke and Fanta so they asked Sagan what he wants and the reply was "Fanta, you know this"
