News bot Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 I often get “I thought Eroica was only for vintage bicycles?” … well you’d be correct that Eroica has always been about celebrating vintage cycling culture and the ways things used to be. But Eroica also looks to the future, and just like those early racers took their road bikes to gravel when they had to, so we do it now on our modern gravel bikes so many years later. NOVA is Eroica’s answer to how modern cycling can be invited to the vintage fold. Come race your modern gravel bike at NOVA Eroica!Click here to view the article

Stan Engelbrecht Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 Who has a bike box in GP that I can borrow for a weekend...Grab a cardboard box from your local bike shop? I never bother with bike boxes ... free, readily available, reuse, and recycle. Zebra 1
W Smith Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 My favourite ride.Such a nice vibe on and off the bike. Glad the route is shorter this year. The 150 km was a killer but also a challenge Stan Engelbrecht 1

I would go that route if I trusted ACSA staff not to chuck someone else's overweight wheeliebag on top of my carbon bike...
Jewbacca Posted March 26, 2021 Posted March 26, 2021 I would go that route if I trusted ACSA staff not to chuck someone else's overweight wheeliebag on top of my carbon bike...Best thing to do is to build one using Correx board, rivets and some adhesive velcro. I have one I built which has done nearly 10 years of service at multiple expedition races, international flights etc and with a few duct tape repairs is still going strong. The correx protects your bike better than anything bertusras and Stan Engelbrecht 2

BuffsVintageBikes Posted March 26, 2021 Posted March 26, 2021 So much awesomeness, I just wish the Nova was on the Sunday so that we could do both rides over the weekend.
