Kuss did 23m16 / 1875vam which is about 6.1wkg for the final climb.

Roglic was 7s slower.

Thanks John.

If Roglic was 7s slower, how much time did GT loose?

The bike change showed 2 seconds difference, and it was about 3-4 seconds before the road ramped up. Take the difference at the end, and you'll get about 35-40 seconds loss.

Thanks Frosty, was unable to watch not even a recording yet.

With the mechanical and time loss to GT , made the incorrect assumption Roglic was the fastest, but this opens up why did GT loose so much time.

Cause he does not climb the super steep gradients like Roglic does and is known for.

2 seconds ? Felt like a lot more.
It looked like an F1 pitstop vs Sunday picnic

WEDU team had a fair bit to say about this and especially G's choice to swap helmets too.!

Ultimately I don't think it mattered ... the steep slopes sorted things out.

He said his legs felt terrible at about 1.5km to go (so he lost a lot of his time in the last 3rd of the climb).

He also didn't have to be the fastest, just 25 seconds (or less) slower than Roglic. GT finished 40 seconds slower (2nd overall on the stage).

The change was longer, but the time gap shown on screen after the change shows 2 seconds.

nicely done side by side there. Time in the "transition box" was 6 seconds faster for Rog

A bit disappointed, with all this marginal gains stuff, was looking forward to a Jamaican Brakeman.

Thanks John, I wasn't sure about that but was hoping like mad.  That picture of Roglic sitting on the ground at the TdF after TP did the exact same to him is etched in my mind for ever ...

As a Roglic fan I'm very happy he got this one.

Also very happy for Cav to get a win on the last stage of his last Giro.

I don’t think Roglic is really known for climbing steep gradients. He used a very light gear as well which clearly assisted him. But yeah, when I look at Roglic, he’s not a natural climber like a Pog or Jonas just based on the eye test. A natural climber dances on the pedals and mixes his style with standing and seated. Roglic definitely has more a Froome vibe spinning a really high cadence.
