Yup, I can also vouch for Pyga. After cracking a Pascoe I was sorted with a new frame and back to riding in less than two weeks. Good okes.

Well I bought a pyga for myself and my son so it is good to hear that they are well backed up.

Following a face ending accident I also blew the better part of 30 gorillas on leat gear from the trail centre in PMB. So far so good, although riding with a full face lid and googles takes some getting used to.

I have been chucking everything into the machine after each ride, and no issues so far - touches head!

Yea, unfortunately, I'm yet to have someone get my name right. I think this just bugged me more than it should of as it was mixed in with all the other frustration.

Brendin is a new low. Normally the E and A are mixed up. Never the O with an I. 😅

A bit of an off-topic but my name is Rolf. Simple one would think. I mean it only has one vowel in it, no real way to get it wrong, right?

I have been and am still being called Roelf, Ralph, Roedolph and Rolfe way more times than my actual name and often by people who have known me for years. I am at a point where it does not bother me in the least. I used to correct people but now I go by whatever they want to call me 🤣

Peace out Brêndan!

I don't feel so bad now. You guys are having a good laugh over the name thing. :D :) I'm glad this thread didn't turn into too much of a mess.

So what did they do to change your mind?

I seem to have a love-hate relationship with the brand. Some of their cheaper stuff have lasted me since forever, but there often seem to be some minor quality issues with the more expensive things. Not enough to want to go through the warranty (sitting without the product) process, but enough to make me think twice when it comes to replacing items.

I am another one, how difficult can Chad be right? I have been called Jack, Jeck, Chud, Ched, Chard, Chet, Chat, Chart, Jag and I forget how many others 🙄 even after spelling it out for them, so now when they ask my name, I just say "you tell me" 🤣

All those sound just peachy when I think of some of those names the distant ex-wife called me.  Let's simply say that I have an affinity with a wide variety of animals. 😁

Edit:  Good on Leatt for eventually sorting Brandon.

Old topic, but I will add to the list.  Big supporter of local companies, love the Leatt branding, high quality materials, but man, there some things that is totally unacceptable

  • Poor velcro, on everything that has velcro Gloves, waterproof pouches, etc.  They just don't grip after a while.
  • Stitching on gloves, MTB and MX are very poor and will come apart withing weeks of use
  • Adventure enduro pants' rubber protection on the knees peel almost immediately, after the first handwash using no soap
  • Glove sizing just got smaller since last year
  • Knee guards for mx straps are too short
  • MTB gloves just wear through abnormally quick (I have 100% and Fox gloves that have lasted for years)
  • Zips on hoodies just splits, you know, the classic issue you get with poor zips.

Then, I have heard from other people :

  • Boot soles come loose when you submerse them in water - this happens often in enduros

I liked the boot's look, fit and price - after I heard this from multiple people with personal experience, I would not buy this.

I hope they fix this in future, but for the moment, I have to go back to the classics like Alpinestars, Fox, 100%, etc.   The sad part is, that every sub-par(opinionated, sure) brands like Fly is manufactured according to better standards.

I love this brand and I wore it with pride, but I have to move on.

With (lack) the quality of the 2024 gear reading this from 2022 is tragically sad.

My 4.0 long pants are still going strong( 2019) while all my friends that bought last year have replaced and their new gear ain't looking too great after a couple of months.

Sad to say my experience with Leatt kit has also not been stellar. I have Fox stuff, Troy Lee stuff, First Accent, Watts, Indola  and even a Temu one lol, and out of all of that my Leatt stuff looks the worst.

Fully agree with the rubber stuff literally pealing off, ive pealed all mine so it at least doesn't look as bad. But also, my baggies and some DH pants all look pretty worn through on the pad/saddle area. It’s almost like the kit is designed to last max 1 year. I now use them mostly on wet days as i don't care for them that much.

What made me decide to stop buying them though was a jersey. R1k+ with one ride and wash and it was falling appart at the seams. I know they have a good warranty program, all the shops say so….but agree it’s just a faf. I have 1 good 1.0 trail shirt that seems to be holding up fine though and i use that often. I dont know if they changed sweatshops recently perhaps. But the quality seems inconsistent. I’ll use the stuff i have left until i bin them. Just vote with your wallet imo.

How good is that Temu jersey? I see they around 200bux. 6 jerseys for the price of 1 just rotate and toss when looking shabby. Same for the gloves and other kit.

Lol mine’s unbranded, but for a R200 jersey it has been holding up fine. Id buy it again. The one i got is relatively thick (cloth) too.

I think. some clothing items although they fall into the FOakley category are not a bad option especially if the legit stuff has become questionable with regard to quality.
