Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a good storage solution for 4-5 bikes down 1 side of a garage wall, whilst taking up as little space as possible. The 2 products I've investigate so far ar as follows:

* Wille Honde Bicycle Wall Mount Bracket
This solution seems like it'll work nice for bicycles that will be placed high up close to the ceiling, as the bike will protrude furthest at the top. However, I'm scared that the handle bars of bikes positioned lower down might interfere with opening the car doors.

* Steadyrack
This seems like the best solution overall. However, the price point is definitely a big negative

Is there any other alternatives similar to the steadyrack at a more reasonable price point? Or could you recommend any other solutions that I've not yet considered. For example, ceiling hooks etc?

Steady rack looks neat. I made something like that out of pine bits for a flat i lived in. To be fair, it wasn't siwveling like this, but that's doable with a few parts from Gelmar. Won't look as refined as Steadyrack, but a fair bit cheaper

I did a simple design based on the mounting philosophy of the Wille Honde brackets and had it lasercut out of Stainless Steel by a friend. Works very well for my setup, but I only have two bikes to stress about.

Staggering the bikes High and Low is workable in your situation, but I'm not too sure of the schlep to get to a High mounted bike if the lower ones are still on the wall.

I think your garage layout might push you into a certain direction.

I got the Wille Honde from Extreme light in Cape Town. A little expensive at R500 for a 2 pack but quick and easy installation and they look cool too.

If you compare them to other bike hooks they are well priced.

We currently have the Fluir Lion Horizontal Wall mount at a clearance price. This works similar to the Wille Honde mount but comes with two wheel supports (you don't have to use both, but it is recommended).

https://www.rookiesports.co.za/product/fluir-lion-horizontal-bicycle-wall-mount/

Only R119 each.

Sightly more expensive on Takealot - R169

Will this work with tandem? Not sure about the weight?
