Gravel Bikes that will take a 2.2 tyre?

There are a couple of youtube videos with a specialized crux running a 2.2" renegade front and back, as well as the Schwalbe 2.1" thunder burts.

Internal rim width plays a part when running the larger tyres, anything wider than 25mm will make the tire sit wider.

Here a photo with my Giant Revolt fitted with Vredestein Black panther 29 x 2.2 mtb tires.

Eye opener for me to never judge a Tyre only on thread pattern but also rubber compound. These roll faster than my Panaracer Gravel king SS that looks like a slick tire 🤷‍♂️

 - yes, the clearance is enough.

- No there is no rubbing against the frame or stays.

- yes, I rode them in muddy conditions without any issues

29X 2.2 RACEKINGS, slightly a heavier tire than the avrg 42 & 45 C's but rolls well and suits my riding style. Plenty of clearence between tires and frame.

Its like once youve ridden the fat tires on your gravelbike, you dont care no more about how much it weighs 😋

Leadville 100miler doing a good job of killing CX based gravel bikes. All the top riders are on drop bar equipped mtbs.

There was that time, quite a few years ago I tried this .... I distinctly recall thinking what the hell am I doing?

3 or so rides then it morphed into something different that was also trashed ....
