Hi have been waiting since November with a despot down on a new Colnago V3RS, I don't think Colnago knows what day of the week it is, March became April then May and now's its, we just don't know situation, could be 2023 or later.

any recommendations on a similar bike, I just cannot be another dude on a S-Works

Ideally Dura Ace 12 Speed wireless, Tubeless, 28 C tires, Disc and integrated cable, size large, preferably new or very new

Do you have anything or a suggestion, Budget R180K

who is this despot of whom you speak?

anyway, my suggestion for the pot:https://www.lookcycle.com/za-en/products/bikes/triathlon-bikes/795-blade-rs-tt/795-blade-rs-proteam-black-ultra-mat-glossy

anyone know who the Basso agent is in SA

Bikemob was the distributor but they're gone. No new distributor appointed to date

No just no. Ask Hambini

there is a reason so many people ride them

sheeple? I test rode, I wasn't that impressed. Happy to stick to my 795 Blade RS

Super6 Evo https://www.cannondale.com/en/bikes/road/race/supersix-evo/supersix-evo-hi-mod-disc-dura-ace-di2 is a less common option that just handles better than the SL7

That is a gorgeous thing (the fact that its a bike is secondary). Why they would choose to use Times New Roman as a font escapes me though.

Haha I’m very happy with my reacto that I have in Cape Town. If I were to buy a new bike it would probably the same with higher grade carbon/dura ace, or the bmc timemachine. If I was looking at a more cost effective buy then the aeroad.

I can collect your new bike and ride it in for you 😅 Then you can collect it in cape town end of july 😂

A custom Battaglin steel Power + Evo.

https://officinabattaglin.com/products/custom-steel-bikes/power-plus-evo/

The only steel bike I know of with integrated cables. It is so pretty that you will always win because anyone who sees that bike will have their underwear melt straight away.

I think they only make 40 bikes a year, I believe most of there clients die before they every see their bikes

From one Sid to another... Storck Aerfast 4. That frame is rapid and fairly light for an aero bike. I am biased but I love that thing. And it is within your budget. Tell them Dan sent you. Also if you don't like the green get it stripped and resprayed, can probably do it within your budget if you chat to them, or send me a message and I would be more than happy to help (I would appreciate the opportunity).

Well then we should also be watching estate sales, although I would be pissed that I couldn’t get buried with it.

These days you wait a year for brake pads, so a timeless steel machine is well worth it in my opinion.

I always love these threads.

i'm going to try be as objective as i can - no promises though! 😋

by the looks of it OP is looking for a dedicated race bike - something a little unique.

i can offer the following bikes:

The Aurum Magma

My thoughts on mainstream bikes historically was that it would make me just another one of hundreds in a crowd. how dull.

That said, i also refuse to believe they are not good bikes. they are all race proven - all of them.

this of course is mainly due to the athletes on the bikes. but it still counts

The market share of big brands is driven off our own perceptions - if it wins in the big leagues it must be good. i'm sure they are. its also driven by local back up and of course warranty.

Go read the LOCAL Roval warranty very carefully - lifetime everywhere except South Africa - no jokes on this one. RSA uses a sliding scale based on the how many years old the wheels are. I got caught out on that personally. Its that reason alone i give Spez a very wide berth.

the only advice OP really needs is to buy the bike that makes your groin ache - you should look back after every ride on it and think damn thats a good looking bike and regret nothing!
