Will see what I can do Re weather - we seem to be stuck in a holding pattern of a few muggy overcast days followed by buckets of rain - next week more of the same

How are the groad conditions along seven passes after all the rain? When I was there in September they were pretty lovely, does the rain do much damage?

Also heard it hurts them to be picked up especially from the top, maybe less so if you lift it from underneath

They normally pee when picked up as a defense mechanism and that dehidrates them so let them be.

I reckon I'd pee myself too if I got picked unwillingly up by what in reality equates to a giant.

Never new this, thanks for the info. I do think though when they are in harms way, like on a major road etc, its better to have a scrambled GPS than a scrambled insides 🙂

Some info from the interwebs:

It’s all held up remarkably well because they’d just completed drainage upgrades - the only section damaged badly is the tarred section near the university where a large section washed away

Hi Wayne. Is there any way to get to Montagu pass from Wilderness at the moment?

If you know the area well you could go in at the dam and around the varsity and pop out at the gate along 7 passes - you could also just get off your bike and portage that section where the road collapsed although I can’t confirm this because I haven’t personally investigated that section since the flood damage and we’ve had even more rain
