Surely at 266K they can throw the pedals into the deal

You can buy a rather nice Ducati for less, and you get the "pedals", aka pegs included in the deal too.

Nothing about judging, this is about questioning the value of your ZAR against the value of your bicycle.

Horrifically bad ...,but I guess we could do the same with Zar against bread

You get Reasonably Priced Bicycles as Well.

At the End of the Day You Pedal She Goes Forward.

It's the SNOB Factor that makes the Price High.

I got 35 mm Rims on my Mountain Bike They are Worth 35K

And you think to yourself (But She's slower now than she was before I got the new rims WTF)

Ah, maybe this be the key difference. Hard to get an enduro ready dirt bike well outside of say 15% of the KTM 300 type price range but a bicycle for Sani2c etc etc can run between say R50k and R200k. All new of course.

'Investment property' developments being sold by developers. A 1 bedroom, which is basically a loft with enough space for a double bed, just. Apartment. Literally half the size of Mandela's prison cell.
At least a bike at any price provides a platform of escape.

How long is a piece of string, it can be pulled in many ways.

And it won't be out of date and lead to embarrassment on the start of the 2025 CTCT for the owner...

At least the apartment will gain in value (Assuming it is in CT and not JHB :P)

EDIT: Now if you live in JHB, and you buy that flat in CT, you can short term rent it out and then come down to CT with your bicycle(s) and escape from JHB on our roads and trails.
