I read about this yesterday.  A beacon for others with anger management issues. Breath,  reflect, respond positively.

A beacon? A lesson more like.
People are responsible for their actions, particularly when the consequences leave a spouse dead and two children traumatised for life. Not too mention the fallout for friends and family.
For sure it's tragic all round, but the perpetrator sits at the end of line.

With Rohan Dennis retiring in the same year of this terrible family tragedy, I can only hypothesise how he was struggling:

So many professional athletes struggle with repurposing, resetting and developing a new 'identity' after retiring. From tour buses, Olympic glory, team bubble environments and 20 hr weekly training blocks to almost nothing on the calendar can inevitably create all kinds of life stress, inner turmoil and existential angst.  The pathway to retirement, whether at 65 or in the 30s after a career in sports, is best handled with care and dilgence.

Hoping there's a beautiful and soft support system for the kids after all this time in the media spotlight and losing their Mama, Melissa Hoskins.
