MarcoDeS Posted April 4 Share With winter approaching and the reduced daylight that comes with it this means more time on the trainer. Any suggestions on what to do to keep myself busy during long Z2 sessions before I start chewing my bike? Edited April 4 by MarcoDeS

Duane_Bosch Posted April 4 Share We use mywoosh because...... Free Download some youtubes. Tee them up and off you go. I download cos the bandwidth is less than optimal in my garage where the trainer is. There's a tv in there and the laptop gets set up next to the tv. Youtubes on the TV My wife puts a music playlist on her phone. Edited April 4 by Duane_Bosch MarcoDeS
MarcoDeS Posted April 4 Share I use Zwift but shucks I can’t stare at an animation doing the same thing for long 😃 Managed 95 minutes Z2 this morning with Spotify podcasts thrown in, still fell short of the 2 hrs I was meant to do. Frosty Posted April 4 Share Do your intervals sessions (if you do these) on the trainer and then invest in some good quality gear to withstand the elements outside. Using the Robo Pacer (Zwift) or the Pace Partner (indieVelo) helps, as well we riding with ERG mode off, helps pass the time without any interruptions. Mamil Posted April 4 Share I simply cannot spend longer than about an hour on the trainer - so it's intervals or a zwift race of 30 to 60 minutes. I find the latter very entertaining. Zone 2 on the trainer is a working definition of hell for me. Jewbacca, Dexter-morgan and The Ouzo

I could not agree more but there is value in these sessions, can't see how people can do 100km on a zwift ride. Mamil

Vaultboy Posted April 4 Share My typical trainer rides are around 60-90 mins. I use Rouvy, so I tend to listen to audiobooks or podcasts while I ride, given that I often have nice scenery to look at. I have done a few 100km rides on the trainer. I prefer to just watch youtube or netflix for long rides.

It should be DIFFICULT 😁 Mamil
