HI All,

Quick logistical question. I'll be staying in Rondebosch area (near to keurboom park) on the weekend of the CTCT. How do people in this part of the world normally make their way to the start? I'm starting earlyish (6:39). Its about 11km by bike so I'm happy to ride it. Should I make my way onto the M3 and ride the route in reverse down to the start? Or is Main road/M4 a safe option?

Thanks

Will be plenty going down Liesbeek and Main road (we're leaving Pinelands around 5:15)

Cool was going to ask the same question.

Would Liesbeek be the safer option? Seeing there has been some issues along Main road?

Also how good are the street lights, can I get there without a front light?

Does anyone know if double laps are possible?

Officially no. If you finish early enough to start with or before the last group, just blend in a go for it.

A while ago there used to be a table which gave some guidance as to where you had to be if you wanted to finish in a certain time... I know it was only a guide but does anyone know where I could find that

Hey everyone,

I am a first time CTCT rider and I'm just wondering if anyone has some suggestions on where to park and where to go at what time before the start.

We're not local and will get to Cape Town via the N7 on race morning and I'd appreciate if anyone has tipson what roads to take and where to park before the race. My starting time is with 7E, 8:36, and would love some tips on what time to get there and how long everything will take.

Thanks all

Welcome and ENJOY it.

In reverse order :

. You want to be at the Parade (Castle) about 30 minutes before your starting time.

. Park 30 minutes before that, giving time to get ready and cycle to the start point.

. CTICC parking deck 2 is a very handy and safe spot to park.  No issues driving in to park.  You will see MANY others in this parking area, so you can just follow the flow to the start.

. Mostly downhill from the finish back to the parking.  Again, MANY cyclists to follow back to your parking.
