Is that a reliable source for my CTCT seeding? Or is there another method to view your current seeding. The information about seeding is very opaque.

 

There are a lot of threads regarding seeding.

Didn't actually don't know about the Racetec seeding, but did you check out the Pedal Powet one? https://pedalpower.org.za/seeding/ and select road seeding and put in your details.

It is reliable in the sense of relative seeding, but the seeding and start group won't match. For example PPA seeding A would put you in $ or other racing group at CTCT. So you kind of have to work back from there.

Edit: I see my Racetec results actually show my correct CTCT start group!

With what you have done the last 12 months you are miles ahead of 90% of the riders.

I have no doubt I will do OK, but am doubting that I will stay with the 1D batch and doubting whether I'll do sub 3:30, but do it I will, enjoy it I will. and I'll be sure to go fetch my 21 medal at the end.

With Tour de PPA done and dusted, and seeding updated ..... can we see our CTCT seeding somewhere ?  Or do we wait for an email from CTCT ?

Check on Racetec > My Results. My updated seeding group & start time for CTCT has been visible since this morning when the PPA seeding website was updated.

Is your friend's seeding good enough for racing groups? If yes, rather give them a call first to find out before wasting money on a racing licence.

Probably not unless you ride for a pro team or have 7866 followers on instagram
