There we go...

This guy also stuck with it for a while... https://www.strava.com/activities/13829533196

Was going to say, seems like a straightforward thing to prove or disprove:

Bliksem. That's impressive. I was in 1D and was making a concerted effort to stay with the front runners. I see from my splits that I was with them over Edinburg drive but not at Tokai. I do remember seeing a handful of guys ride off the front and bridge across to other riders on the descent down to Tokai. I didn't quite have the power for that and was in the red going up Edinburg drive anyway.

84kg which would make 350w equal to 4.2w/kg. Won't last in $ with that, but I would think good indication of racing groups. If more guys and girls share here, then we can do some comparisons.

Do they though? I almost never see any consequences for people who jump ahead to start in earlier groups. And to be fair to the marshals, also something very difficult to police in practice and one trouble maker can occupy a marshal for minutes while 10 others slip trough.

A long scroll through Finish Time, 109km riders ... ONE rider got DQ'ed, from the @ group.

Similar scroll through the 109km e-bike group shows something like 29 DQ's.

With the current technology this early start thing CAN be policed with the click of a key ....

Happy to share mine, but would need to know the exact start point of those segments you listed to know what to look for. 🤔

I did a 2:47:50 from &. My NP was 227 W (but I only weigh 62, so avg. w/kg ~ 3.6).

its very easy. you have a number which is allocated to a batch start time. If the number pops up earlier than it should, then DQ immediately. No result , no time. Pity they can't remove it from Strava like it never happened

What’s the point of this? They’re just gonna get disqualified.

According to the rules they should get Dq'ed, results shows they were not.

Same as no early starters were DQ'ed in any of the 2025 seeding events.

So guess what is going to happen to the start groups when Finish Time dont fulfill their duty .... good luck to the real racers having to deal with the inevitable free-for-all ....

We are on opposite sides of the scale!

I used the normal Strava segments so should be easy to check.

My normalised for the whole ride was 272 which gives ~ 3.2

I was just about to look at Strava, as I thought that might be what you referenced. 😀 Will post mine now.

Don't these riders get disqualified?

(Would be a simple SQL query on the results).

It should be that easy.

But as of 13:00 Monday, Finish Time has NOT updated the results to address this obvious flaw in their time keeping.

In 2024 they applied this with a few races, Have not seen any early starters DQ'ed since then.

Exactly .... so somebody agrieved by his/her 16 237th position should take Finish Time to task.  He/she can move up a good few positions if Finish Time actually does their work they are paid to do.
