Well, an old favourite of mine by the Traveling Wilburys,featuring a young George Harrison,Tom Petty and Jeff Lynn, I like the empty chair with a guitar in memory of Roy Orbison. Anyone who cant enjoy this music just has no soul.

Haven't seen the series but if it features Nick Cace, can't be too bad.

Another series that has a really cool soundtrack is Stranger Things.

A little story for you..

 

Hallelujah..by Leonard Cohen..probably one of the most famous songs out there. In fact so important there is a book dedicated to the song.  When Various positions was recorded in 1984, CBS rejected the album and it was released on a small independent label (the album didn't really feature). At that time in 1984, Leonard Cohen had spent 5 years on Hallelujah. He still was not happy so he continued to tinker with it  - slowed it down..made it darker..changed the verses. While he was performing this newer version in a club, John Cale was in the audience and contacted Leonard Cohen and told him wanted to cover it. He sent Cale the lyrics which were at this point 15 pages long!. Cale chose the verses he wanted and even modified them slightly. His version was released on a small tribute album called I'm your Fan in 1991, which very few people bought. Someone who did buy it was a random women who was friends with Jeff Buckley. While Buckley was house-sitting for her he came across the record and discovered Cale's version and decided to do his own version - a cover of Cale's version of Cohen's version. He was discovered, released an album with that on....and...very few people bought it. Only when he died in 1997 did people really discover the song...and only then did it explode...almost 15 years after Cohen released his first version!
