As we are coming to the centenary.

I have this on Blu Ray. The soundtrack is Dolby Atmos (which I don't have the necessary speaker set up for) but the Lossless surround HD sound is absolutely insane. When that bomber comes over.... Yoh. One of my top 3 concert Blu Ray's for sure.

Always wanted a Fender Strat, from the days I was playing guitar. The closest thing I got to that was when I had a Rockburn - same sort of shape as a Fender, and had the 3 pickups, but I assume it didn't produce the same quality of sound as a Fender.

Edit: another guitar I liked back in the day was the Gibson Les Paul.

I finally decided to make good on my promise to myself when I was young. The other day I closed my eyes to my wallet and took my American Special Strat home with me.

Practising my pentatonics everyday till me fingers hurt.

My son is also on it at least an hour every day. Maybe there is still hope for the future generation.

Congrats, no idea what exactly the strat looks like, but full-filling your dream is a flipping great achievement!

Thanks for the link, enjoying his music!

You’re welcome!

One of my current favourites. He was with Drive By Truckers for a few years, and has been solo the last 10 or so years. He released an album in 2013 called Southeastern which is magnificent from start to finish.

He also has, in my opinion, one of the best bands around right now.

Here is a link to a full show he live streamed from the Ryman last year. Will give you a good insight into his stuff.

This is one of my favourite performances by him, from 2012, a sing he wrote while with DBT about two members of The Band.... Check out Chad Gamble, his drummer... I love his loose, fluid style...
