I was standing there sunday looking at the best possible way to take it.

I envisioned hitting the log at the bottom of the gap and then sliding on that very loose bend following that gap.

Yeah me too. End of 2014 a friend of mine cycled from saldanha along the coast to the border solo. Camped wherever he could, slept in a b&b in some towns. I tried to convince him that we do it end of 2015, but the time just was not there.

Wife had/has plans for Europe, but with tax, school fees and the Rand ganging up on us this month, she's now even  talking about a cycling based tour.........like riding some of the Camino in Spain......couldn't believe my ears!
