i checked outh the Lunar Gilet, OneDayOnly - R979, Cyclelab - R799
i have noticed the same thing, i live in Cape Town but my last 2 bikes i have purchased outside of Cape Town. In fact, the bike I bought a month ago, there is an exact same bike in Cape Town for sale for R10k more 
Fairly common practice it seems.
Some stores will amend price without issues, others will unfortunately try to justify the difference.
If faced with the latter, you could just order "online" while at the store and collect at the same time.
That's what i always do, but I always give a sarcastic reply and say "so must i just order it online while I am standing here" then they usually drop the price instore

I have to say, I dropped Engela an email yesterday evening with a query about the bike I bought after getting an amazing deal on this thread.... Despite saying 'I know it's late and there really is no rush to reply as we need to wait another month anyway' she replied to me at about 20:30.
I am gobsmacked.

I hear what you saying but the first sentence does give it away. I think "any product" might be bike brand
could be yes but we are not sure, on Social Media also, lots of people asking for things that is not a bike but they do not reply.
