  1. A press fit or BB30 frame can accommodate a standard GXP crank with the help of a BB adaptor, however a BB30 crank will never fit a standard GXP frame. Get an adaptor and your are sorted.
  2. Ride a Specialized!
  3. If your wife is short, I would not recommend a 29er. I think that is why such small frames are so scares.
  4. I could do with one with a lock-out, cause I am munching way too much!
  5. dubbel nil bul tr*l nil
  6. Nothing wrong with riding a road bike with mtb pedals and shoes, if you can steer clear of Style Man, he will freak! There are however benefits of using a proper road pedal, such as a larger pedal surface which will transform more power to the cranks. My opinion on this is ride with which ever pedal you are comfortable with, and save by only using one pair of shoes.
  7. Rather get the FSA OS 99 CSI stem. It is carbon wrapped over alu with the same good looks. Stiffer, stronger and lighter...and cheaper.
  8. I am with Tarmac on the Fast Traks. Awesome tyres, with great durability and grip, wihout paying the weight penalty. Renegade if you want to fly!
  9. Any apparel related item, period!
  10. No thank you.
  11. This is what they look like on a 29er.
  12. I've got a set of the Easton EA90XC 29er wheels. I agree, they are good looking wheels, and super strong. The only gripe I've had actually occured this morning. Took my bike out for a spin and the freehub was slipping. As the wheelset is still under warranty, I dropped it of at my LBS today. Luckily nothing has broken, just a sticking sprawl, and the hub needed a service. Other than that, it is an awesome wheelset.
  13. I have inflated my Easton EA90XC rims fitted with Specialized Fast Trak Control LK's without sealant and they held the pressure well for a few days. Depends if the rims are true UST with the interlocking bead system.
  14. Nothing comes close to my Assos. Bikewear is running a special on the FI.Uno S5 Bib for R1399.
  15. I've used the Phenom on my mtb and the Toupe on my roadbike. Both were great, but I have sinced moved to the Romin on both my bikes. Could'nt ask for anything better.
  16. I thought hard and long about this thread, then I realized that I already own my two dream bikes .....only because the Spez S-Works SL4 is not yet availble to purchase.
  17. Force is just as good as Red with a small weight penalty. I love the Roval wheels, use them for training. My race wheels are Easton, lighter, but the Roval are faster on the flats.
  18. You have bought yourself one helluva frame, which only deserve the best components on the market. This is my baby.
  19. If weight is your issue, consider the Spez S-Works Stumpjumper 29er HT. Rides and climbs like a 26er with the benefits of a 29er, This is mine weighing 9.3kg.
  20. Where do you ride dude, Afghanistan?
  21. Upgraded recently from Edge 500 to Edge 800. Best move I could make, what an awesome training tool, however kept the Edge 500 for mtb races, cause the 800 is too nice to trash on the trails.
  22. Soon we will all be riding these bikes instead of road bikes if the municipalities don't sort out the potholes!
  23. You are a bit heavy for the Podium's, rider weight limit is 77kg. Get the Crest, also light but stronger. Podium's have a limited life span, not sure what the exact milage is, but they make me think of a disposable razor blade (or a condom). Awesome wheels if you are light and sponsored!
  24. You sure that neck pain after hard and long rides is not cause by riding without gears!
  25. b-unit, I don't think it is a style issue for AndreZA, I think it is more about forking out a few bucks for the exrta clamps thats bothering him.
