GO and your buddy. Some interresting facts: Did you know that a cyclist has 1 and a halve metre from the side of the road to the inside of the road to cycle in? If there is a yellow lane it is 1 and a halve metre from the yellow lane to the inside of the road? You as motorist must pass them with 2 metre space between your car and them. Even if they were cycling in single file, it means that you must change lanes when you pass a cyclist on a single road. I am not trying to justify the fact that they cycled two abreast. You as cyclist yourself should know how annoying it is when you cycle and you hear a car sitting at your back, hooting for you to get out of the way. Did you expect them to move off the road? As explained above, even in single file you were not allowed to pass them without changing lanes. I also cannot believe that someone would kick in a carrs door for just hooting at them, because then al of us would do it Please enlighten us on the outcome of this incident. I would like to hear the cyclists story as well
I'm currently in Capetown on business. Yesterday on my way from Plattekloof to Bloubergstrand I saw about 20 riders on my way. I was anazed that people cycles in this wind. If the wind is blowing like this in Gauteng, you'll hardly see any cyclists on the road
Please help me here, as I am still confused. What is the difference between a Cyclosport and a Recreational licence. As I see it, there is no difference. You can enter any race with both and you can get seeding with both. It's just the price tag that differs
I must agree, CC is by far the best and most user friendly of the timing companies What I like about Spectrum sport is the fact that you don't need a chip, as the chip is built into your number, which you return when finished Another interesting thing about WT is that a race will not become a Argus seeding race as long as it makes use of CC. Must be those interests that certain high profile cycling administrators have in WT
maybe I am the freak of nature I always feared that i was. I have seen my fitness and endurance pick up in leaps and bounds as my running training increases - maybe its the weight that i have shed that has helped as well. But I really need to sharpen the bike skills more, maybe Prozac or one of those will relax me more and allow for higher speeds with the bunches You must just close your eyes on the back of the tandem. What can I say. This is definitely one of the best organized races that I have seen in a long time. Pitty I couldn't complete it due to a stomach bug that Backup driver has mentioned. I will definitely enter this race again next year to claim my medal for the 100km. What makes this race unique is the fact that you get a medal for the cycling race, a medal for the runiing race and a special medal where the two medals fit in
This is very, very sad news. We had a ride to the hospital on Saterday and Charles was so overwhelmed by it. Too hear about Desna's passing away is very sad. Condolonces too the Freeme family in this trying times
