  1. When's your next pizza night, and what's your address? :whistling:
  2. It may look like the dogs breakfast, but it's soooo yummy!
  3. Is that a delicacy from your local haunt?
  4. As requested: It's difficult to not get hungry when googling deep dish pizzas
  5. I see you and raise you a real pizza:
  6. Oh puleeaseee.... You and I not only hit the smart AND hot nail on the head, we're cyclists too! Win, win, win situation
  7. We need pictures first! Of him, not of his you-know-what
  8. Done! Carpet, we're doing this because we care about you, and we know that you wouldn't have asked for it. And to fork out your money because of some insurance dicks just doesn't fly with me. AND, we all know you will have many happy miles on the bike!
  9. Thanks dre and deanbean, I'll check those places out!
  10. Thanks Milky, I'm going to be moving to the CBD, so looking for something a bit closer.
  11. Does anyone know of any pilates studios/classes that are in the Cape Town CBD? I'm not looking for Virgin Active type classes, but preferably classes that are held by either physiotherapists or someone that's been doing it for a long time, with smaller classes in the range of about 10 people per class. Yoga classes would also work. Thanks!
  12. A track frame is the type of bike used to ride track
  13. Eish Carpie, not lekker to see something dear to you hurt like that.
  14. Anything above 0 would be good
  15. You should check out Patrick McManus - he writes short stories about hunting and fishing, very similar to your style of writing. It would always be possible to create a compilation of short stories.
  16. Is the pain in the front of your shoulder? And has it just recently started, ie you've done long rides before and are only getting this pain now? Are the pins and needles only in your hand or other areas as well? There are lots of different things that can cause the pain, most common is bike setup and muscle imbalance. Another common one is that your pec-minor is in spasm and causing it to pinch the nerve, which leads to the pins and needles feeling in your hands. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. If you can't get it sorted and it persists, and you're in the Cape Town area, then PM me. I've been through hell and back the last 6 months with shoulder/neck/arm pain and have finally found some people that actually make sense and don't want to just cut you up.
  17. Note to self, don't read the reports and drink coffee at the same time
  18. That's forking scary! Hopefully no one was seriously injured. Did the truck driver accelerate in hopes of not having to stop at the light? EDIT: It looks like his brake lights were on, so possible his brakes failed?
  19. Glad you got sorted. Here's the list of endomondo challenges that have been set up, so you can join more: https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/134676-the-hubsa-endomondo-challenges-2014/
  20. Go to the training page where it shows all the rides that you've done. Select a ride and then hit edit. Make sure that "include in statistics" is checked. Will take an hour or two to then update. Also make sure that commuting is logged as cycling transport, otherwise it also won't log as commuting.
  21. My commuting has been put on hold for now. Hoping to start up again. But will then be going all the way to the CBD. Will more than likely use the same route though to get to the cycle path. Will touch base on here again and see if I can join you guys for some of the way.
  22. Thank you! I'm looking forward to playing around with it! It was a tough competition, all of them really great photos!
  23. Don't encourage him, otherwise us mere mortals will never stand a chance!
  24. Dear LikerBiker, Are you saying that my photo is a poor image quality and should not be getting any votes never mind potentially winning? Part of the competition is and I quote: Don't get discouraged if you're not a professional photographer. We are looking for interesting, creative, even lucky shots taken with a wide variety of cameras, from SLR's to smartphones, and even GoPros. I'm not a professional photographer, and the picture I posted was just a lucky shot that I got while spectating at an event that was right on my doorstep. I think it's cool because out of all the teams that came up that climb, the Bulls #1 team were the only ones to actual draft one another up there and lo and behold, I managed to capture it on my little samsung s3 cellphone that I use mainly to take pictures for work when I go out on site. So using the selected criteria from above, I'm a) not a professional photographer, and b) it was a lucky shot. The fact that I managed to get my picture selected for photo of the day then obviously brought out my competitive side, and even if I don't win, I can at least say that I attempted to get as many votes as possible. And that was just by asking friends - 99% of hubbers that know me, that I have either dealt with regularly online here or have met in person. As well as in 3 forums that I post in a lot. I think all these pictures that have been posted within the month of March and even to date for the whole competition are all cool. So if I don't win the GoPro, at least the winner will be a worthy picture in that for people like me that don't know much about composition, it's a kick-ass looking picture (that's generally my criteria for voting). Sincerely, Lizé aka DisyLizzy
  25. Awesome tunariaan! We've had two rescue rotties. They're the best kind.
