    Who remembers?

The days when 20c could still buy some fun!
  2. Winter means nothing to a dog with a ball!
  3. Do trails that go over many landowers properties generally have insurance?
  4. Well, so far one company has declined to quote, numerous have said they don't offer PLI and so far the only one that has come back to me is offering R1 million cover for R5000 per annum, with a R2500 excess. I cant believe how hard it is to get some cover!
  5. The liability is also for the landowners, veld fires, people leaving gates open and livestock getting out etc.

I think its the 10 speed KMC quick links that are quite easy to take off? I cant remove my SRAM 10 speed link without using a bit of old gear cable and two pairs of pliers.
  7. Quiet at work!

  10. Not yet, I read somewhere that we are going to be moving over to the square pin type plug/socket over the next 10 years?
  11. How does it slacken the head angle? I thought that was fixed by the head tube?
  12. I ride with a group sometimes and thought it might do as a universal spare covering everyone's bikes.
  13. Saw this online and wondered if anyone has used one and if its worth keeping as a spare?http://www.xtremeindustries.co.za/collections/bicycle-accessories/products/emergency-mech-hanger
  14. My Ryder CO2 unit actually exploded in my hand a couple of years ago, scared the crap out of me and I half expected to see a hole in my hand! I have also had dud bombs as well.
  15. What wheel hub and cassette is it?
  16. Does anyone know of a company that would be able to offer insurance to cover riders on a trail (and the landowner/organiser)? Or would most insurers be able to offer this? Obviously it needs to be as low as possible to keep the trail fee accordingly low.
  17. Outsurance never came back to me about my broken bike they paid out on and then took. I wanted to see if I could buy it off them for the parts as apparently they go on auction but they wouldn't give me any details.
  18. Touch wood no issues but she only rides once or twice a week. At that stage they were the cheapest tyre I could find (after I took her Crossmarks for my bike!)
  19. We have those thick, thorn proof tubes in the tyre and a tyre liner. Had no punctures at all riding here in Magalies.
  20. I bought wirebead Continental X King 2.2 (rear) and Race King 2.2 (front) for my partner. Buycycle usually has these on special for under R300.
  21. 2 spanners = R238 with postage. Sorted.
  22. After an accident about 14 years ago I was charged R700 for a tow truck company to throw what was left of my 400 Bandit motorcycle onto their bakkie, drive literally about 1.3km and drop it off at my house after my accident. I have no time for these vultures.
  23. Does anyone know where I will find the following tools to service the front hub: TL-HS22 (24mm) TL-HS21 (23m) http://techdocs.shimano.com/media/techdocs/content/cycle/SI/SI_4FE0A_002/SI_4FE0A_001_En_v1_m56577569830648821.pdf
  24. Thanks, does this mean I can buy a normal tapered fork and some kind of adapter? Would someone be able to use this fork on a normal tapered head then? Its pretty annoying that a fork of this age (and cost) is going to have to be binned soon as it continuously lets me down and Omnico (or Fox) doesnt seem that bothered.
