@thebob Swamp Monster sounds more aggressive, and that bike, as you well know, is pretty freaking aggresive....

That sucks man, I didnt even actually place an order, I enquired about the TopFuel 5 in October or November at a number of places, S&J being one of them, they said no stock is available but they will keep in touch, that was the last I heard from them.... Also contacted Bicycle Line, Kirsten got back to me, gave an ETA on their arrival, they landed about 2 weeks ahead of schedule, but I decided to wait for the 7 instead, she told me I would be looking at March arrival, then come 13 December, she called me, said they have stock, and I got my Green Swamp Monster the following week, I actually feel really *** in a way because you had ordered one before I even started looking at them and I have mine already, but then I ride it and I love it so much that those bad feelings go away 🤣🤣🤣

Pretty sure they have the same fork at those models anyway, the TopFuel 7 at R50k is substantially better specced, but stock will probably be an issue Also, as far as the Spark goes, I would go for the 960 over the 970, 960 has Shimano Deore drivetrain, which in my opinion is far superior to the SRAM SX on the 970

Because 1 frame cracked it means it is well documented problem?

You are in JHB, if you want to, buy a socket and bring it to me, I can turn it down for you, sometimes the OD on the sockets are also a tad big, so I can turn that down for you as well if needed

For what it's worth, I am 100kg, with 2.4 tyres, and I run them at between 1.4-1.6 in front and 1.8-2.0 at the back.... pretty sure with 2.8 tyres you can run a fair bit lower than 2bar Try out the ZIPP pressure calculator to get an idea of what to rum maybe?

They shouldnt be too different, the fit may be on the big side because they are often designed to fit body armour underneath, and you wont sommer find short sleeve tops

I want to ask the opinion of you hubbers on drafting a group you are not actually riding with? A group of 4 or 5 riders passed me on the road and I hung onto the back of them for a while, they were going at a pace I felt comfortable following, but I knew there was no way I could lead, I felt bad "using" them so I dropped off them again, but what is the opinion of you hubbers in a situation like that? I made sure to never cause any disruption to them when they made lead changes or anything, so would you just keep hanging on the back of them, or was dropping off the back again the right thing to do?

Agreed, I wouldn't go for a fitting again, but my last 3 bikes I have just setup myself "by feel" and I have been very happy with that, where as other people are more sensitive to it, and I assume @ChrisF is one of those, as he frequently says that it is one of the most important pieces to the puzzle that is biking pleasure

The new saddle could be longer or shorter than the old one, or the rails could make the saddle sit higher or lower than the old one....
