  1. Looking for some of these little bolts for SRAM brakes, I know I can just get M3x10 bolts, but I would like to try keep it all original.... Not looking for those zef oil slick bolts, just the standard silver bolts....
  2. Hey @MarcHD any idea when your next shipment of 29" XM481 and EX511 are going to come in?
  3. Wowzers, that is one good looking baaisukkel.....
  4. Congratulations man, it is an awesome bike, I miss my one 😪 just one thing, if/when you can, a fork upgrade, to something like a Pike, Fox 34 or something along those lines, transforms it from a good bike to an absolutely AMAZING bike
  5. Santa Cruz Syndicate put up a video on how they bleed the Shimano Saints, same principle should apply to your brakes, they do warn that it wastes a fair bit of fluid, but maybe it is worth a watch...... https://youtu.be/piWBVDh1pTE
  6. I just wanted to do some pace partner rides to get back into it, it has been a few many weeks since I actually got on the IDT
  7. Easybike special, killer deal.....
  8. Willie Munn does hard chroming, just google W G Munn, he is in Elsburg I have also seen a place in Alrode that does it, but cant remember the name of the company
  9. Trying really hard to get back into this Zwift thing 🤦‍♂️
  10. Thanks for your advice though, checked the photo settings and turned off the HEIF and HEVC settings, so hopefully now it will work in future 🙂
  11. Pics are taken with a Samsung A32, I have tried taking screenshots of the pictures and then posting them, but nope, still does the same thing....
  12. The cable car took us up the mountain, the bikes took us back down..... 😁😁😁20220428_095303.heic20220428_123249.heic Cant figure out why I cant upload pics 🤔🤔
  13. Lekker little ride at Wolwespruit 20220423_103734.heic
  14. When we were riding dirtbikes still a friend suggested using wynflon spray on my bikes cables, it made a massive difference to how everything felt
  15. I thought of that, but welding it without heat treating it after would probably make it weaker than just cutting the braces out..... I am first going to try get some wider rims, that should bring the overall circumference down a bit, 32c tyres fit quite comfortably, but I would like to maybe fit like a 40c or something, if all else fails I suppose I can put on some 650b wheels, then I can get all the comfort
  16. I am another one, how difficult can Chad be right? I have been called Jack, Jeck, Chud, Ched, Chard, Chet, Chat, Chart, Jag and I forget how many others 🙄 even after spelling it out for them, so now when they ask my name, I just say "you tell me" 🤣
  17. Didn't MucOff already do this pouch thing years ago?
  18. Interesting you mention cornering harder and faster with flats, I came upon an article on FB last night that mentioned the same thing, writer has been on clipless for many years and decided to try out flats, after the short adjustment period he also says he can corner harder and faster on flats than with clipless, his reasoning, and the reasoning of others who he spoke to is that you have extra confidence in being able to quickly dab a foot down if you over or under steer which can obviously help you save it, where with clipless it will likely end up with you on the floor, so that little bit of insurance of being able to get your foot off that little bit quicker plays a significant mental role in how you corner.... Makes a lot of sense to me
  19. I also have AVID BB7 Road calipers on my bastard build bike, when I initially started the build I thought I would have to go the hydraulic route from previous experience with mechanical discs, but when I saw the price of the hydraulic stuff I started searching for other options, and as others have mentioned, the key ingredient is compressionless brake cable housing and a decent set of mechanical calipers, my brakes have as much, if not more power than the 105 hydraulic brakes my old gravel bike had, but they do sacrifice feeling, it isnt as smooth as hydraulic, but, they work flippen well, so I am sticking with them, I haven't tried the cable to hydraulic systems others have mentioned, but with my current setup I dont think I "need" to try them either
  20. The ticking could be burrs on the cassette at those sprockets, my GX cassette did it as well on the same sprocket as yours, I think it is a fairly common problem
  21. Unless you are buying another Topstone, just keep it 🤣 I sold mine to buy a house, should have kept the bike......
