  1. Just edited my comment, should have said "will hopefully" work into place, no guarantees that it will work 100%
  2. If you can get it out, even it is threaded and it has stripped, you could put it back in with a little Loctite 613 I think it is, it will NEVER come out again, pretty sure if you dripped some around on the seam where the driver meets the body, enough will hopefully work its way between the surfaces that it will work as well
  3. You are 100% correct, it is/was poor technique, it happens in pedaly sections because of poor judgement, I was getting better in any case, after I rode with the shorter cranks I made a conscious effort and improved a lot, but the shorter cranks just felt nicer anyway, and it didn't cost me anything extra, so...... My knees would sometimes get irritated, I wouldn't really say sore, but I could feel a niggle in my knees on some rides, since having the shorter cranks it hasn't happened, so bonus there as well
  4. Previously only rode with 175mm cranks, because thats what all my bikes came with, test rode a bike that had 170mm cranks, honestly couldn't really feel any difference, but my mate commented how I hadn't had any pedal strikes, I pedal strike a lot ???? only then did I find out they were 170mm cranks, so my new bike I specifically asked for 170mm cranks, it has been awesome, no more pedal strikes ???? I actually wouldn't even mind trying 165mm cranks, just to see how they feel....
  5. My old bike also did that, loosened up the seat clamp a little and it stopped doing that, new bike, same thing, with a BikeYoke dropper, but that was a combo of not enough air pressure and the seat clamp being slightly to tight, even though it was torqued to 5nm, now I just go to 4nm
  6. The normal Tubolito? I have some on my bike, haven't had any problems with them, hit a BIG pothole with them, at about 35kmh and they are still fine, got them with a set of wheels I bought, would I buy them new? No, too expensive for me.... I guess just because I haven't had any problems so far though doesnt mean that they aren't actually crap, just a coincidence....
  7. Nice, I like the way he thinks, good looking welds are just too much of nice..... I think it could just be down to the kids, my nephews always had the shoddiest of shoddy bikes, HEAVY, no brakes, all the bearings were fubar, etc, but they always loved riding, couldnt get them off their bikes.....
  8. You guys have not experienced corrugations till you drive 10km on a corrugated road in a little car (Suzuki Swift) that is dropped stupid low on coilovers with low profile tyres while towing a dirtbike......
  9. It is very sad, at least they confirmed that none of the animals were harmed
  10. Hi guys, not one to normally post stuff like this, but our local SPCA was robbed last night, all their foods were stolen, can you believe it? Anyways, is there anyway we can can maybe get some donations going for them to replace their food stuff? I can get their bank details for direct donations, or if you would like you can send donations to me, and I will go buy foods and drop it off at the SPCA, will also make a list of all donations made and post it up here, thanks for any help you all may be able to provide....
  11. The handlebars shadow on the headtube/downtube looks very suspect ????????
  12. Thanks man, I am extremely happy with it, the build took slightly longer than expected, but it was worth the wait Thanks Patch, it has been torture having it since Tuesday and all the riding I have been able to do was riding it up and down a hill to bed the brakes in
  13. Lighting inside my house is TERRIBLE for pictures, so added some outside shots, first ride tomorrow ???????????????????? Oh, and please excuse the fugly garden, busy with some maintenance work....
  14. Think I may have one for you, with a stem, will have a look tonight when I get home
  15. I have been itching to get a PYGA Hyrax for a while now, and even more so after I test rode one, such an awesome bike, but I was forbideded to get one, so I did the only thing I could, went full #ENDUROBRO and got a Slakline...... Coming soon to couch near me.....
  16. I have bought from CRC twice, both times used the cheapest shipping, first time my parts came with SkyNet, it was really quick, SkyNet contacted once it landed in SA for the customs clearance, it got to my door in less than a week from date of purchase Recently ordered tyres from CRC. also the chespest shipping option, it arrived in SA really quickly, but then the courier took their sweet time with the customs clearance, it was with ARAMEX, took about 2 weeks to get to my door, wasnt a problem though as I didnt need the tyres urgently
  17. I also said I couldn't stretch the budget, then I rode one, and it all went down hill (pun intended) from there
  18. Went full #EnduroBro and ordered a PYGA Slakline ???? I was going to get a Hyrax, but @thebob got one before me and said I cant have the same bike as him.....
  19. The Ally Sensor has the same fork, shock and wheels, the brakes and drivetrain are not as good Carbon has NX mix and TRP Gspec brakes Ally has SX and Tektro M7somerhing (4 pot) brakes If you can find a Norco Fluid or Giant Trance/Trance X, that would be 1st prize Just sold my Norco Fluid and I am actually regretting it ????
  20. Ridgeway Cycles has some stock of the GT Sensor, they have the Carbon and Ally version in store The Norco Fluid is also an amazing bike, but I dont think you will find any stock anywhere
  21. Feel the same as you guys, last year this time I was on the bike at 04:30 for a ride, got home and felt so good for the day after a bath, this year, there is just 0 motivation, cant even get myself up to be on the IDT in the morning, but I at least get on the IDT in the evening.....
  22. Oh, I was really just talking about the spelling.... ???????????? I have never heard of AG Dewit refered to as Fishers Hill, before they blocked the parking areas at the top off we used to call it Lover's Lane because, well, I dont think that needs explaining, and Main Rd I have always just known as Main Rd
  23. Please tell me the difference? Not being funny, I would really like to know, I lived there for 20 odd years, and always known it as Fishers Hill?
  24. Sorry, but I have to Fisher's Hill.... Ok, carry on now ????
  25. Friend of mine gave a First Ascent jacket, similar to that one from Decathlon, also folds up really small into it's own pocket and then easily stashed into your shorts pocket, shirt pocket, backpack or whatever, it is really effective, I used it in Clarens for the Amohela, it was bitterly cold in the morning, but that jacket really helped, and is quick and easy to take off, fold up and stash away
