  1. Fuctose is a natural sweetner, the statement says no artificial sweetners, i assume thats referring to something like aspartamine
  2. that is odd, what pressure did you pump the tire to initially?, i have a problem with my wheels where i cannot get them to seat unless i put 6 bar in, a slow roll round the garage( as its the only pump that will get that high) and then release to 2 bar, after that all good. i have in the past use normal electrical insulation tape first the the yellow rim tape, makes sure the spoke nipples are separated from the yellow tape good and proper.
  3. my scott ransom, been meaning to take a shot for ages and post, finally remembered yesterday so here she is, new wheels on soon.
  4. what a cock, makes me want to string him up for a good beating with the stupid stick!!!!!~
  5. Cll the sapo track and trace call line, wait on hold of a while, tell then the situation, give them the international tracking number and ask for the SA one, have done this on more than 5 of my crc orders, works every time.
  6. Change the brake reach by adjusting the screw on the brake lever
  7. i had the same problem with my last cassette, old lock ring was so tight i couldn't get it loose no matter what i did, eventually i got it loose by using some wd40( q20 etc, any liquid oil should work) on the join by the thread, left for about 20 in and then took a flat screw driver in one of the teeth and used a hammer, took a few nocks and came loose, wasnt too concerned about damage to the lock ring as the new cassette came with one
  8. still looks a little too high for me, if you drop it by 1mm, you should have clearance in granny, bearing in mind once you get towards the smaller rings on the back clearance is almost always going to be problematic
  9. a set of DMR V12's would go nicely. http://dialdbikes.co.za/dmr-v12-pedal.html
  10. just recieved my new rims, been a while since i posted anything in this thread, but am now adding to the toy again, so here they are, Dartmoor raider rims and novatech front hub, now i have to wait for funds to build the wheels, AAAARRRRGGGG!!!
  11. i run my tubeless at 2.5 bar, never had any issues running at 1.8 until one Sunday i managed to "burp" the tire from the rim, since then i run higher, ok i do do a lot of jumping and hard riding so the "burp" was my fault but haven't had a problem since running higher pressure, are the Ralphs UST's or not? may be that the 2 bar on non ust with your weight doesn't seal as well as it should?
  12. keep it moist!!!!!!( clean moist please) no water or funnies, i forget the type of bandage or what its called but it designed to avoid scars, when the scab/ roastie dries out scaring is more likely, make sure you have been to a docs office and they have scrubbed it clean, its gona hurt like hell but its the best thing to do, a mate had the same when he came off his road bike at 60 plus km an hour, he was given bactroban and second skin burn bandages, then covered with normal bandages and allowed to heal, if i remember correctly he was told to leave alone an only change the outside bandage, the wound healed in 2 weeks and he has no scaring at all. check with a doctor for the specifics but i have seen this method work like a charm, and yes chicks dig scars but if you can avoid them rather do.
  13. Uh I don't want I sound unreasonable but how much single track is there?

  19. Havnt got a clue as to he to measure the specs of the bolt but do have the bent one so will see if that helps, have asked cycle lab fourways to assist as they have helped me in the past, they said they would look and see if they don't have one lying around or if not if they can source me one. Took a look but will need to borrow a caliper o measure accurately before I make any purchase, just a bit concerned that the thread may be of a different angle, will have to see wht I can ind if CL can't help.
  20. I dint have any problems either, entered as the page opened. Honestly can remember what I paid though.
  21. Nice tip, I have used a BoM with no sealant before, take out the valve core, BoM, deflate and add sealant through valve then recore and inflate
  22. hi Guys, i need to have a bolt made to fit my Scott ransom, i managed to break the suspension swinger arm and bend one of the bolts, unfortunately it is a rather specialized bolt and i cant find one anywhere, does anyone know of any company in the JHB area that could assist me in "making" one? i could order a whole bearing and bolt kit but thats almost a grand, i am hoping to get on made for a lot less than that. any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
