  7. Havnt got a clue as to he to measure the specs of the bolt but do have the bent one so will see if that helps, have asked cycle lab fourways to assist as they have helped me in the past, they said they would look and see if they don't have one lying around or if not if they can source me one. Took a look but will need to borrow a caliper o measure accurately before I make any purchase, just a bit concerned that the thread may be of a different angle, will have to see wht I can ind if CL can't help.
  8. I dint have any problems either, entered as the page opened. Honestly can remember what I paid though.
  9. Nice tip, I have used a BoM with no sealant before, take out the valve core, BoM, deflate and add sealant through valve then recore and inflate
  10. hi Guys, i need to have a bolt made to fit my Scott ransom, i managed to break the suspension swinger arm and bend one of the bolts, unfortunately it is a rather specialized bolt and i cant find one anywhere, does anyone know of any company in the JHB area that could assist me in "making" one? i could order a whole bearing and bolt kit but thats almost a grand, i am hoping to get on made for a lot less than that. any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

  17. eish thats an old bike, very nice but old, as Tankman says your looking at about 10k for all the upgrades including the bike, for me a 9 year old bike for 10k is steep, personally i would look towards this https://www.bikehub.co.za/index.php?app=hubmarket&do=view_item&item_id=34037 for half the price, add a service of the shocks and full mtb service if you like and thats about 7k( depending and where you take it of coarse) means 3k for beer etc. thats just my 20000000000000000000000000000000 zim dollars worth
  18. hi guys i was wondering if it is possible( ok wait i know it is) or rather advisable not to use a rear shock that is bigger than the space between the bolts? in other words can i not use a 200mm shock on a 190mm shock frame? surely if the shock is fitted in a compressed state with no air in it and the air is added once the bolts are fitted it will only extend a s far as the frame will allow? yes it may require some fine tuning with regards to the air pressure as it will now be running a lot higher due to the compression but is that not the same as say a fat person getting on the bike and not adjusting the pressure to suite?
  19. Am sure someone can cut you one but rather get a piece of Perspex cut to fit that way no more broken glass.
  20. Was on both actually, kyknet was slightly longer though.

  22. Nice post!!! Op clearly has thought about this, thought I was a half decent novice but from that list I am not to sure any more. What about adding performing a wheelie to the list somewhere, I mean a 10m peddled one. First on an uphill then flat then downhill?
  23. What site did you find that on? Are there more brakes on the site besides what you posted?
