  1. Get the Snake Skins!!! I rode my set of RR Snake skins for more than 4000km, with ONLY 1 puncture, and I reached home without running completely flat. Great tyres, run well and last even better!
  2. I have one of the Park Tool PRS20 stands. One of the best pieces of equipment I own. Be warned, if you have 20mm or 15mm front thru axles... Park Tool has an adapter for the thru axles, but could not find a local store / shop / agent that brings in that item. So, I had one made at an engineering Co, and GREAT!!! Removing one of the wheels is NOT such a big issue for me, but know about that before you buy. Happy Hoopin
  3. I'm there like a BEAR!!!!!!
  4. Hi there Iron I had a similar issue using the HRR, a problem uploading my resting HR onto the Edge. Contacted Garmin, and the suggestion is the following: Under Garmin connect Selection of Sport: Use the default setting (cycling, running and swimming actually for the multi-sport watches) Upload your HR settings like that, under the "default" tab for sports. Let me know how that works for you. I do however have a Garmin SA contact person, looking into these small "bugs" that we report. Happy Hoopin
  5. Running Stan's I have those Alien's within a week or so!!! Using Joe's, I run for months on end with no ET invasion... Happy sealing
  6. It all depends on what you want from it and your general type and style of riding... I have both 29" dual and HT. I love my HT (SS) for acceleration and the short course type stuff. I love my dual (Niner RIP9) for the comfort and plush ride it gives me on longer day in the saddle type rides. If you have to chose one, chose on your general type and style of riding; Aggressive, fast accelerate and decelerate; HT More marathon style and long hrs clocked; dual
  7. Hi guys Thx for the feedback. I have the calculations sorted, just need an indication of recommended % for training zones
  8. THX FeO Any indication on %'es for the zones?
  9. Guys, thx for the responses How would you detail your training zones? 50-60% E1 60-80% E2 80-90% E3 90-100% O2 OR 50-60% Zone 1 60-70% Zone 2 70-85% Zone 3 85-92% O2
  10. Hi there Hubbers As you are probably aware, there are may way ways to use and interpret HR monitoring data for exercise management. The common way is: 1. 220-age (eg 20)= 200 used as max HR Now % are calculated for training zones: 65% of 200 = 130 bpm 75% of 200 = 150 bpm and so on. 2. The other way is to use HRR (heart rate reserve) This uses the following methodology; RHR resting HR = 60 bpm Max HR = 200 bpm HRR = HRmax-RRH = 140 bpm Training zones calculated like this: Zone 1 = HRR (140) x 65% = 91 bpm + RHR (60) = 151 bpm Zone 2 = HHR (140) x 75% = 105 bpm + RHR (60) = 165 bpm Now, using the same max value, the training zones differ quite a bit RE the bpm readings... Witch one is better / more accurate to use??? Looking forward to hear from you guys
  11. Between those 2, Momsen!
  12. I'll take one of those, THX!!!
  13. Anybody out there that have encountered a similar problem???
  14. Hi there fellow Hubbers Anyone came across this specific issue before? I have searched the interweb and found some other guys having the same issue as i have. Chris King BB and SRAM XX crankset compatibility issue. I have installed the CK BB exactly to spec, and then the crankset as well, using the instructions to a T. Initially, the BB gives as much drag as to be expected from a CK BB, then later in a month or so, I feel a side to side rock / play. It feels like it is IN the BB bearing, and that after very precise installation, spacing and torque. My spacing came out to the following: No 2.5mm BB cup spacers as I have 73mm BB shell. Drive side; Used all 4x of the CK provided 1mm spacers, disc ring Non drive side; Used the provided adapter sleeve for the spindled part to go through the bearing spindle sleeve. PLEASE, anyone came across the same issue, or even better, a possible solution??? Looking forward to hear from you
  15. Yep, just shop CAREFULLY!!!
  16. Yip, I am also gutted when I look at stats like that. Yes yes, the warranty blah blah blah, high end stuff should last more than a year with HARD use, then I will gladly pay for the repair, and sometimes when replacing the item, STILL come out cheaper than buying local I am all for supporting our local market, but at 2x the price (and that is buying full retail int, shipping and vat)... I think someone is doing us over, BADLY!!!
  17. Hi there fellow Hubbers For you guys using SportTracks, what is your favorite and most used plugins available for download? I made the leap and purchased the full version, so now for some plugins!!! Looking forward to hear from you
  18. Hi there fellow Hubbers Anyone with a view or opinion on these helmets??? Yes I know SKY rides them, but I would like to hear some views and opinions from owners. Fit, comfort, quality, weight, and all those nice things... Looking forward to hear from you
  19. All depends on your initial diagnosis and condition. Some conditions / infections take longer to recover from than others.
  20. +1 on that Antibiotics are just antibiotics, and cannot cause harmful effects during physical exertion. The problem comes in when misdiagnosed eg, a miocarditis or pericartitis (inflammation of the heart muscle or the "sac" around your heart), or exercising when you have a condition like these. Those will cause you BIG problems. If your resting HR is around where it should be, take it easy on a first couple of rides and test the waters. Happy recovery
  21. iRide, That trail looks like it is going DOWN most of the time. I recently visited Winterton, and I am afraid EVERYTHING is UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gonna k@k!!!
