I think (correct me if I am wrong) the SS3 is a non hi-mod version i.e. a cheaper and heavier frame than the SS Himod? Therefore I would probably go with the Giant or Specialized, if those are my only choices. None of them are painted in Italy though...I'd get a Pinarello form ASG's sale, but that is just me. Maybe you two should get a room... I hate the boa lacing systems - broke twice, and riding 60km with too tight cable ties keeping you shoe to your foot isn't so much fun. At leats you dont feel the pain because your feet go numb, but you also don't feel the pedals
Ditto, I sweat like a horse - I found - a wind resistant undershirt - summer jersey and light jacket(not necessarily an expensive "cycling" one) works best, coupled with arm warmers if needed. As for the hands - I have yet to find a solution - tried layering gloves/thick gloves/ no gloves/thin gloves/lined gloves - my hands always end up dead and frozen... Feet don't do too well in winter either, but toe caps and Belgian booties tend to be best options as it allows feet to breathe and not merely trap in msweat - which gets pretty cold...
