    My question to those with a background of pharma or phsyiology or both . Taking Bicarbs to reduce the lactic acid in you blood stream ? http://doctoroffitness.com/resources/fitness-articles/item/q-a-using-bicarbonate-to-buffer-lactic-acid-in-athletes-2 Would the acid in your stomach not neutralize the bicarbs. Or are you going to increase the ph in your gut enough to leave some un-reacted bicarbs that your lower intestines can take it up and react with the lactic acid in your blood stream.

    1. Someone once told me 1kg on the bike = 10 kg on the rider. He was a big guys with a light bike. Does anyone have real info on that. 2. Lower centre of gravity is good right ? So sadlle bag is lower than camel back. if point one is BS

    have Elixir 5s on my Giant, They squeal like a pig. Shimano some-number on my Momsen-ss with a pair of No name brand rotors. Just before Sani the hub departed on the giant so I changed the rim. The no name brand rotor was no screaming. It felt weird .

    Assos are moer duur but they last. I have bibs that did duty in the Sabie mud last century and are still going strong. First ascent from the same time has been sent to the rag pile long ago. But I have to say that the First Ascent bibs from 6 years ago look nothing like the stuf they make now.

    I have an Anthem. I like it it is comfy on marahons but a bit soft if you want to race your XC. If you are going to be in a hurry there are stiffer bikes out there. For a comfy all day in the saddle ride . The Anthem is a nice buy.
