Don't want to sound stupid (shhhhhh now!) but what is a Given Fixem thingy?

Yes, yes and yes!!!! Me, LittleBen and a few others ride there every Tue, Wed, and Thu at about 17:45 and do 1 lap (ride there and home as well of course!). In fact I've ridden there at 5am in the morning before! Too dark at that time to do it now though, those forest sections can get very tricky ........

Go out and ride it! That way the Stan's gets everywhere, oh unless you riding on the road of course Would agree with those that say inflate hard, shake it all around (and I mean in all possible directions!). It does take a little while to settle ....... Even then it may lose a bit of pressure now and then but hey you have stepped up a notch in MTB'r circles mate

Or a riser bar ...........

Hey Scotty - I may be wrong (OK so probably not ..... ) but I think it is this coming Sunday the 16th. The course is superb, rode it last night . Flip just about every time we go they have added new sections! Nice new short 'medium' technical section added this past weekend, lekker The length of the lap is now just under 9k's

But hidden it under a camo paintjob ..............

We had 2 good experiences with motorists just this morning. First where there is some 'upgrading' of sewerage or something being done and the road has been narrowed to one (very narrow!) lane a young lady patiently rode behind us for the 200meters or so then waved as she went passed then on our short hill repeat route a guy shouted encouragement as I rode my last big gear climb so there are some good motorists out there as well!!!

Is she not also the Yolandi de Villiers that was meant to ride Epic with Andrew McClean? Hope she's OK!!! If I remember correctly she also had a big fall towards the end of last year at an MTB race that put her out for a while. LittleBen helped there and it was not pleasant!

It doesn't mean you will never fall off cause you got a DS - ask me ... You may get away with a bit more but at some or other time you probably will 'donner' off ...... as I said my 2000ZIM$ cents worth.

Ok so my 2000ZIM$ sents worth! My technical skills (OK so you had to see how bad they were before to realise how much better I am though still bad!) have definitely improved since I have been training on a HT. Based on this I would agree with those saying a newbie should consider a HT as a starter bike ..........

My first time ever in the 'teens'! Woohoo!

Raced there at the provincial today and it was pretty clean! Even after my 4th lap it was still OK .. perhaps it's the 'casual' riders , but then again why would they ride with gels ............. Thanks for the support Holy Roller and by the way I did ride that slippery up on laps 2-4, pity you didn't see it! Jeez but the course was way slippery apparently there was heavy rain Friday ..... but a second place medal at provincial champs is not too shabby. So BG and Jules, you went and practiced and so where were you today huh huh?

I ride an F100X with terralogic and I love it but ja takes a bit of getting used to. Again as Popeye says it's personal opinion, some love it some hate it!

Hey M if you fall that often then maybe you need more protection than just a camelback? How bout some shin protectors, arm and chest etc. But I like the inflation idea, tie it to the toptube of the bike and let it float over mmmmmhhhh .................
