I still have an original EL (from when they only traded on bidorbuy) Replaced the battery under warranty and its still going 6 years later. My only gripe is the strobe function. I would rather just switch between high/low, its a pain to cycle the modes when you start heading down and need more light

I don't know, other that the claimed battery life, not sure if it's worth it. My fenix6 does everything I want and with the recent update, has most of the activities and apps the 7 will have, other than some of the health tracking functions
