Ah makes sense. So there is no point in a GPS watch just get the heart rate tracking going properly.

Sorry if its been asked before, but can';t find info:
I use the Apple Watch outdoor cycling function to get my 300 points per ride, as it tracks activity with heart rate ave above a certain point and you get the points.
The heart rate lately is becoming very erratic, and want ot change to a GPS device. Really like the TomTom Adventurer, but the discovery app says earn up to a 100 points per workout? Surely thats a joke? It does heart rate and GPS and then links to Strava?
What points do you get with Garmin, Suunto and TomTom?
So I'm about to pull the trigger on a Flare Max, gunmetal.
Waiting for availability.
Building stuff over from my current bike:
Reba RL120
WTB Frequency i25 rims laced to Hope Pro 4 hubs
Praxis 11-40 cassette with Shimano 38/26 front
SLX Brakes
KS Dropper
Will post pics when done. Trailhead doing the supply and build.
Hope it will be a sweet ride.
Good fun event. The mud was....well mud.
Picked up a helmet, a pair of shades and a beanie on the road near Klipriver drive.
If you can describe them, they are yours.
My first one, can't wait!
I'll do the first lap, my mate the 2nd and let our other buddy do the rest while we drink.
Job done.
I've been using the Apple watch for over a month, also has the green lights on the bottom.
Works like a bomb.
Haven't used it with Strava, mainly use it on indoor training, dont feel like smashing the watch if I fall on the trail.
Thanks for the info guys, my mate is in Seattle on holiday and they delivering my new Oakley lenses there total cost polarized is R441.
Bargain.
I have a Superfly 100 and the first thing I took off was the Avids.
My rear brake was also non existent after a while, Northcliff Cycles tried the best they could, got it going again, off they went and replaced them with Formula RX.
No wonder SRAM dropped the Avid brand now.
I changed my daughters 7 speed grip to a trigger, on a 20" avalanche. Cost R50 at Complete cyclist, it is a Shimano unit, trigger to go up button to go down.
Momsen 429 or 529 or Sola.
Dont bother with anything else.
Momsen wins purely on wheelset, ZTR wheels on both the 429 and 529.
1x10!!!
I'm sliding it because I can! Only rarely though.
With the Avid I could never lock the rear.
