  1. There is nothing soft about walking that satellite descent. Really NOTHING embarrassing.... Will be walking it for a third year now...... I know i am supposed to walk it on the left, but its kinda safer and easier to walk on the right ..... Apologies up front lads and lasses!
  2. I need one of those for when i am on contract in Malaysia next year.....Looking forward to going over the handle bars in a new country.
  3. I concur with Paule. The current model has routing for an internal dropper post. Not 100% sure the routing which runs under the down tube is best, but it looks like it will work. On a side note: I had a warranty claim on my Pyga, which was NOT the PYGA company's fault, it was a silly machining issue from the fabricator. Pyga have been absolutely great on this and have assisted me 100% of the way. So thanks and a big up to the team. Great bike, great service.
  4. Will there be a booby prize for the hubber that has the worst picks..... We would not deliberately choose muck riders like Cavendish etc for sprint points of course..... hubbers are not like that....

  6. I had a new number banner template in my Trailseeker Number envelope. It had a little CHOC blue badge on the one side. I made the assumption that the medal handerer out-er-ers (sic) would be advised that anyone with a little CHOC image on their boards had agreed to have the money donated to Charity, and therefore should NOT get a medal....I guess.
  7. I improved my seeding index marginally, but was owned by a lot of guys in C and D. Seems B batch is about to become a lot more difficult to stay in..... Would be nice if Jumpertrax could drop the batches you started in (cos they scanned you in) into the results sheet in another column. Would make bench marking a bit more interesting for the over analysers on Sunday morning.
  8. YupHope i did not do anything steeyupid around you
  9. 71.8 from Wessel71.22 from the Bryton.... Not bad Wessel. We will be holding you to your distance statements from now on. Thanks. Great day out. Almost up to my expectations of MTB race pace.
  10. Will update as soon as i find it....

  13. Went past an accident on the down hill at 21 km mark. Not sure who it was. Arm was in a sling and looking unhappy. Did not have emergency numbers but informed a marshal shortly after the accident. 2 fellow riders were waiting there as well. Big up to them as well To the guy who had a blow out just behind me going up the mini monster. Sorry, hope my balance loss and weave was not the cause of your blow out. Apart from cramps starting on the down hill from monster it was OK. lost out on sub 5 but otherwise feeling ok.Bit annoyed all the people coming past me on the uphills but the bike loved the downhill sections, not too technical and all rideable. Not like VG which is still too silly for me. If i am available, will do it again next year.
  14. What is the point regarding bike boards on public MTB trails. Not sure i understand this issue. Do you have to pay to ride on public routes, or are these private routes that are open to a paying public. If so i agree with the banning and payment terms. I would not want people cycling past my house or over my land without an agreement from my side. Aside from the whole "we only rent everything in this lifetime" esoteric debate.

  16. Targeting a sub 5. Hope i am not overstating my abilities after a bit of a break after Argus...
  17. Tx Lights are all a bit of a mine field really. Looking for minimum 1200 lumens actual as a starter, 3 settings for power and the med power needs to last for 8 hours or so. For me to use it for long marathons and then shorter brighter setting for night races. Dont want a car battery either. And $500 is pushing it a bit on price.. So only want the world really........
  18. Kinda nervous. One partner only started training a few weeks ago, but he is young. Other partner, not started yet, but he picks up quickly so see how he does. Last shopping item is the light. Still checking out items but all looking good.
  19. Same problems entering. Then have the problem of not knowing where to register for a new profile with Advendurance as it seems the login info i had last year is no longer valid.
  20. It'll cost you R500 each time you hit the brakes. Those rotors look gold too. Bit suspect on technical descents if you ask me. Gold melts and softens at too low a temperature for my liking.
  21. Nope..... Thats what CS tried. However CS were wrong on polishing the brown stuff and expecting it to turn into gold......
  22. Get a lump of coal and start polishing............
  23. I'm over analyzing again i guess. Will grab my pitchfork and tyres and mosey along with the mob.
  24. Thats the point i am trying to make. Not trying to be a chop or anything, but DT Swiss make a couple of different types of wheels. The R37 500 included frame and wheels. Well that's what the lawyers letter said. Its a piss poor effort by them to stay in business if they think they can get away with it. If its for R50 or R50 000.
