  1. Dropping you a PM now. Complicated this virtual stuff!!
  2. Saturday 6am SAF time. We have a 100km ride planned. I’ve followed you on Zwift. If not joining the meetup you can still drop in a little later and ride the 2nd half although you won’t be highlighted in the group. We plan around 4 rides a week. Let me know if you keen. We use ZOOM as well (most of us) to chew the bit while riding.
  3. Personally I’m not a fan of bridging. Adding in a “step” or “loop” into the transmission end to end can only increase complexity or latency. I’d suggest Ant+ dongle.
  4. My pride, joy and many salary in there!! :-)
  5. Music stands and ironing boards probably the most popular “make a plan” options. I like the music stand because I can’t knock the iPad etc. off by accident easily. Cheap as chips as well. :-)
  6. Still a few things to do... 1. Put some rubber type flooring down. 2. Paint wall where all the bikes hang. 3. Put a proper shelf/cabinet under the TV. 4. Get some pictures/artwork up. *** Remembering I live in Dubai so this is actually my “summer pain cave”
  7. Prepsol. Well diluted. Best product ever!!
  8. There is just something about a US Military Aircraft that gives me goosebumps. You just know that no expense has been spared and it’s the tip of the spear. Love it.
  9. Add in the GMBN and GTN sister channels. The EMBN also fun to watch. I also quite enjoy the TrainerRoad channel. Redbull channel full of content. TED talks can be a hit and miss but the good ones are excellent.
  10. I’ve got XO Eagle on a bike (from new) and XT 12 speed on my new MTB. Both great, both more than enough. But if I have to choose today, I’m taking the new XT. It really is next level for Shimano.
  11. Should consider braking quality rather than just model. I’ve been super impressed with some really basic entry level models in the past few years. If they stop you fast, are reliable and easy to service I’m not too worried about the model. But I do agree, there used to be clear 1,2,3,4 kind of levels back in the day. Bikes were either XTR, XT, LX, Deore or Makro.
  12. Only a few hours in and we all turning on each other !! [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]
  13. Was a cool build. Can’t seem to find the finished pics. Will look. Built the Corvette after that and this weekend start the new defender. [emoji16]
  14. Queue every single Rockshox sponsored athlete telling the world how this is..........wait for it....”the BEST fork they have EVER ridden” I’m sure it’s fantastic but the scripted corporate drivel ruins new products for me.
  15. Seriously considering this for my wife. She’s keen to ride with me but needs some extra watts. New BMC “hybrid”. Built with SLX and Shimano Steps motor. So clean and simple. Rode it a bit around the shop and that, she loved it. Not sure what else o should be considering. Here in Dubai, we have a great cycle track so will be used inclusively there. Everything else I’ve seen is triple the price from Spez.
  16. Sand. Desert. Repeat.
  17. Doesn’t Ironman own Epic ??
  18. My 8100 on Spark 910 running flawlessly. Hubs are OEM DT Swiss though (I think). Freebody has a Chris King sound to it. So it’s loud, but lekker.
  19. Insert Patch’s words here.... [emoji6]
  20. Hi, There are a few threads regarding lights so have a search on the forum. But in my opinion..... You need a total of 4 lights. Not negotiable. 1. Front bike mounted light 1000 Lumens or more... 2. Front helmet light 300 Lumens. Follows your eyes. 3. Rear seatpost flushing light. Bontrager make awesome ones. 4. Rear jersey mounted flashing light. The extra lights do act as a redundancy and trust me there will be a time a light or battery lets you down. But when all are working it’s the best way to see and be seen! I spent years riding in the dark. Still do. And this is my “go to” setup.
  21. And why did he only buy one? He’s going to look like a complete twat!
  22. Have any of you ever bought a Harley and then sold it without taking a complete bath? My brother in law and then my father in law had them. And when it came time to sell they couldn’t afford a Chinese scooter with the change!! I think once you in, you in for life.
  23. I love Labs so much. This is me. 100%
  24. Only if you use vegetable oil as lube as this is the Vee-Jin fred.
  25. I cannot explain how steep that finish was for Stage 2! We were there in the weekend as they were setting the finish. It was the kind of road you walk up with your hands on your knees and walk down sideways! Seeing Calebs effort blew my mind!! He must have been well over 1300watts up that entire climb.
