If you go through the middle of that farm/field you can avoid the plague that is those devil's thorns.
Took a group out in December and what was supposed to be a decent 40/50km ride was cut down to 20odd due a billion "DNFs" from punctures from those thorns (sealant could only help so much)

The balance bike is now to be passed on to his younger brother, 2.
I’d like the balance bike to be a “new” bike in the eyes of my youngest.
So just looking for a change of colour wrap.
I’m assuming this is cheaper then painting.

Get yourself ecologics and use this for everything on your bike, kit and round the house. It's brilliant stuff, antibacterial, degreaser, and "green". It comes super concentrated and we use it in different dilution ratios for different objectives.

Are there any silicone covers and screen protectors available in SA yet for the 530? I should receive mine this week, but given the price I'd like to protect it as much as is possible. It will be tethered, covered, and bubble-wrapped if need be...

I use mine on every ride, in fact I use two ... and my phone.
I use the GoPro phone app for editing, serves my needs perfectly.
I also use them when out with my boys.
Well worth it.

almost 40 different properties... must be easy to keep all generous land owners and fussy riders happy.
Rocks are marked with white arrows in many places.
Signage has been bad for years and nothing has changed.

Yes WhatsApp messages will come through on your Edge 530.
You might have to enable it on the unit and on your phone. But it does work and come thorugh on the Edge 530.

If I'm lucky enough to get one (read afford), I hope this is true.
it took many frustrating emails to Garmin when the 520 plus was released to verify this.
Which no one could, then did, then didn't, then weren't sure, then did, then eventually verified it would not be the case.
would be super helpful if it's the case with the 530
Not so much fun to be trying your darndest and having someone race past you on e-power. Also, no e-bike category, so these riders finish in the same category as the rest.
I'm no winner and this is just ego, so in the grand scheme of things, live and let live.
There was an Ebike category as far as I'm aware.
New maps are a few hundred (just bought the ZA maps for my 945 and they were ZAR265). So not super expensive but definitely a consideration if you are thinking of importing.

Had a quick look at these puppies this afternoon - the bike shops in Belgium are seemingly well stocked whilst I've used the current Euro to ZAR exchange rate.
Edge 530 = 299 Euro (R4 877)
Edge 530 performance bundle = 399 Euro (R6 510)
Edge 830 = 399 Euro (R6 510)
Edge 830 performance bundle = 499 Euro R8 142
prices I've found so far
UK:- about 4600
Australia:-4500ish
USA:-about 4200
issue is mapping, buying overseas you'd probably have to buy local maps too once the device is here

I've had both a Camber (comp carbon) and Epic Evo (a test bike for a while)
I LOVED my camber and always preferred it in leaps and bounds to the Epic, but the Evo blew me a way!
So much fun, not all about the "race" like the Epic.
I'd go for whichever of the two is the better deal (spec, price, warranty wise, )
I’ve got the edge130 and it’s a great unit.
Hassle free for almost a year now.
I’m just yearning for some new tech hence my interest in the 530.
But, truth be told, I like the Wahoo Bolt.
Discovery just don’t get round to approving them

we were not close friends, but I had the privilege and honor of many chats (mostly SS related) and deals with the gentleman.
