  1. Is this considered whining ? https://www.cyclingnews.com/news/a-bad-habit-wout-van-aert-reacts-angrily-to-jasper-philipsens-tour-de-france-sprint-deviation/
  2. Philipsen was relegated today after that warning. He closed the door on Wout, but it seemed pretty mild (in my opinion)
  3. Nice show from Ryan Gibbons Was Jasper a Disaster again ? https://www.instagram.com/p/C8-AgrWsEu7/
  4. This vid says broken, but it wasn't
  5. Very nice ! But also appears on Santa Cruz, Specialized and Trek (among others)
  6. Absolutely agree! 100% x 2
  7. Not specific to 303s, but I run the Cinturato Gravel H at 45mm wide. Some people prefer narrower tyres, but I weigh close to 100kg, so prefer a bit of volume. I am on my 3rd or 4th set since I got my GG a few years ago because I don't feel the need to try anything else. I also ride road and gravel (a couple of tours like Cross Cape etc)
  8. Its a great bike, especially at that price. A friend has been using one for a few weeks and we are all very impressed - Green Belts, Mast and Block House were all handled with ease. 47mm tyres are a nice touch. The rear mech does need a clutch though - chain drop is a regular occurrence.
  9. So, modern banking is online with all your accounts connected - Bond, Check, Credit, Savings and in my case, my business account. it would be scary if someone got hold of my phone and cleared that all out. So, a cheap non-smart phone may be a good idea for cycling. But taking you to the ATM at gun point would circumvent the phone story. So, one would need to have transfer and payment limits on your accounts. But these limits may be a problem for day to day functioning. Demanding a ransom circumvents that story too. What a sh!t show!
  10. A dual boiler machine does help speed things up. The single boiler Rancilio does draw things out a bit...
  11. A mugging in Tokai on the way up to the mast this morning @ about 10:00. 3 x knife wielding youths. Phone and Garmin taken, but not the bike. These are the bits of info that I have gathered so far...
  12. Does anyone know what happened here ? https://www.instagram.com/p/C8BVxKJqFH0

  15. Would width play a role in how high one could or should go ? Similarly stem length. What bar and stem are you currently running? And what bike do you have ? This is where the set-up that @BaGearA mentions makes sense. And then, if not already done, flipping the step could help with height of the bars.
  16. Hydration fairings, he calls them https://www.instagram.com/p/C7ppLq-uaHE/?img_index=1
  17. You get what you pay for...
  18. And Jonathan Milan's last 10km yesterday was quite something to watch too. Incredible!

  20. This is the official light board for that carrier https://thulestore.co.za/thule-light-board-976000 But, there are much cheaper ways to display your number plate. Bungee cords being the nastiest...
  21. Is that a queue for the beer or single track ?
  22. To simplify things slightly, the Trek light isn't available here yet. There is a basic version of the Garmin radar without the warning lights. I don't know if it will pair and work with the Huawei watch https://www.easybike.co.za/garmin-varia-rearview-radar-rvr315.html But there is a Magene radar with lights like the Garmin version. I don't know what it pairs with though. https://www.bicyclepower.co.za/products/magene-l508-radar-tail-bike-light-rechargeable
  23. I'm interested to know what this other bike was.
  24. Is that like a Mass Debate ?
