  1. I have disassembled and reassembled bikes before and it is not difficult. I have a set of allen keys and a BB (external BB) wrench. That is all u need for the basic stuff. For the more complicated stuff like wheel building... I take it to the LBS to do U may need a torque wrench to do a proper job

  3. first thing visit a bike shop and see what u can buy with ur budget, i would not buy anything with less than deore, deore lx or XT groupset 2nd, search the web to see what is on the market 3rd, search for a 2nd hand bike 4th, spend slightly more than u can afford right now, about 2k more (save) 5th, ride and enjoy ur bike I started 7 years ago and it was the best decision I made. I will not stop riding as long as I can ride. I bought a GT for R5000 in 2006 and I am still riding it everyday, just about I really hope I did not use oxymorons :clap: :clap:

  5. If you strip a alum fork/ frame u must use a alum primer call etch primer. Duco has a product DurathneK etch primer and activator Costs about R130 and R60 Another product I found is UPOL acid 8 in a aerosol can R140 This must be used or the paint will peel Info for hubbers who might search in future as I could not find it when I searched.

  8. imo... if u like use it if not don't i see people speak about do's and don't style wise, I do my own thing that works for me, if i followed the crowds i would have spend R500 on power balance $hit. I did not an was able to buy nice bar ends

  10. just to add my 2c i too had back issues and core exercises did wonders. I can even do some light work without having back problems/pain I do legs raisers for the abs 50 each morning 3 sets of planking for 20 counts

  23. A couple of years ago I was overweight, since then I got fit and slimmer. What I did was: Cut out added sugar in my diet, ie don’t add sugar to coffee, cereal, tee… Cut out soft drinks, coke… Cut out processes meats, wors… Reduce meat intake with fat trimmed off Cut out sweets, chocolates My approach is if you love something eg lekka lamb tjops. Never say I can’t eat this rather say I will eat 3-4 tjops a week. When u at a braai and u eat 3 tjops then know ur quota for the week is up. Obviously the limit u set for ur self must be in line with ur goals Consistent training, rather ride 10k’s a day than 80 k’s every 2 weeks Set proper well though through goals. And read labels, and understand what it means
