  1. No, people can ride whatever they enjoy riding.
  2. These trails are awesome but is still a bit too technical for most xc recreational riders. I would recommend keeping the xc line down completely off the black down lines, and complement the more challenging parts with easier options on the xc line down.
  3. It shares the race proven suspension of the Sesta and has a Reba for the same price.
  4. Silverback Sido is a much better buy sorry Titan.
  5. Silverback Sido1 can be bought for under R30k and is 1kg lighter That`s R16k less for 1kg less. Edit: I see it has the Fox 34 and a dropper post adding weight, but still I think its too much money for too much weight for a xc racing bike.
  6. Well done Scott for moving the rear shock to the correct position!
  7. It definitely does effect me, I drink much better after a long mtb ride, and I ride much better with beer in the camelbak
  8. Very nice bikes just a pity that the price has gone through the roof just like Cannondale.
  9. So you don`t want to take any chances and then fit tyres with no sidewall protection. Fail?
  10. http://www.silverbacklab.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/SBC-CONCEPT-1.0-OPT-2-1150x655.png
  11. Can only be better. Also, AC rear hub engagement is unbearably slow and freebody is fragile. Stans Neo hubs will be much better.
  12. Major upgrade in price too: 679 US Dollar equals9892.55 South African Rand
  13. Spez Epic Comp Carbon for 55k with its alu rear triangle, deore brakes, and its impossible to find weight? - no thanks I`ll take the Sesta.
  14. I have a lot of experience on a Rocky Mountain Element RSL970 - a great bike. The Sesta is a stiffer and faster bike. I also have experience with a BMC FS02 xt which is also more expensive than a Sesta. There is absolutely no comparison between the Sesta and the FS02, the Sesta is 1.6 kgs lighter and completely blows away the BMC.
  15. Some more info on the Sesta suspension design: http://www.bikerumor.com/2014/10/31/eb14-roundup-silverbacks-superbike-concept-plus-asian-examples-ti-carbon-other-hacks/
  16. Compete in the 60k range? The Sesta is probably the best bike to buy under 85k. Not only this, the Burst suspension design of the Sesta with its solid rear triangle is a superior design to, I would say, all other bikes! I also ride a great other brand 100mm dually that is worth about 90k new, and the Sesta is the stiffer and faster bike. The Sesta has won design awards for a reason, it is a superior modern suspension design.
  17. No, Sprada 1 is not comparable to the Sesta at all. Cant afford the Sesta Pro wait for the Sesta Race. No Sprada!
  18. I ride a Sesta and it is magnificent. Best bike in its price class and I would say better than any bike even 33% more expensive. The new technology design in the Sesta is carried over on to the trails and this bike is extremely fast - mind blowingly fast! Well done Silverback you built something special and can be bought for cheaper than the competition!
  19. Sesta is the best buy no doubt, even compared to much more expensive bikes.
  20. That seems a bit light, the listed weight is 11.2, I will weigh mine today and report back
  21. At less than half the price the Sesta is lighter than the BMC fs01 even with upgraded wheels on the BMC.
  22. You can also put extra air in the tyres to lighten up rolling weight.
  23. Cool a mtb race!
  24. Maybe create race categories for each type of dope. This way the riders don`t have to hide their dope usage and can still compete.
