    Went for a 1hr sports massage this morning. Was tight in quite a few areas and the massage helped big time. Will try have one done more regularly.

    In my last few runs my right quad is becoming quite stiff, not the entire quad but a smaller area. My mileage has been pretty steady lately (over 100km weeks) and I did a 52km run on the weekend where I was very comfortable. Is it best to see a physio about this or would a decent sports massage relieve the tightness?

    Hi all I purchased a bike bag from a hubber (Cranck) in 2010. There was a long topic on thehub advertising these bags, which I can't find. The bike has done a fine job but the wonderful luggage handlers at one of our airports were able to break off one of the wheels. Does anyone know where a spare wheel can be obtained? I would imagine Chris Wright (Cranck) would have spares if anyone could help me with his contact details.

    Perhaps these bikes are being split up and shipped/transported across the borders and then into bigger markets like Europe and the America's??

    Will anyone have space in their vehicle from Jhb to Cpt return for the Argus for myself? Can share in the driving and costs and pretty flexible on travel dates. Another option could be to hire an aircraft (I can fly it) to get to the Argus...allows much greater flexibility.

    Have always wondered how effective a pepper ball (from a paintball gun/pistol) would be through an open window of the taxi...should empty it out for a good few hours.

    Need to train a bit more up at jhb altitude. It definitely does have an effect, what say all those from the more coastal areas? Managed to stay with the second group of A batch (just) until just after exiting the N14 and then couldn't hang on anymore. Some of the first group of B went by and my legs just felt pap so rode solo the last 15ks or so. In the end did a 2h38. Could have been much better but that is what next year is for:) Overall a good weekend including the twitter ride on Saturday which was also a great event.

    Ashleigh did win because she started in the racing elite women category. This is the group where the overall ladies winner is taken from. Other races have the same outcome with some women getting faster times than the racing women. elite ladies is very different tactically with lots of attacks and periods of pretty intense intervals. Those that are getting faster times should go and race with the elite ladies, it will be good for the sport.

    Those guys are a joke. I parked in Van der Bijl Avenue and the guy came along with his piece of paper for R20 parking. I said I would pay him when I got back. Returned to my car mid-morning and nobody was there, (except some more official looking security)..surprise surprise!! I wouldn't have paid him anyway though. The principle of "car guards" really gets on my tits. Not a bad business model though, upfront payment for zero services rendered. Hate to know how much tin they made.

    You find out about it by being on twitter:) They say avg speed will be 25kmh. Can head to registration straight after.

    That Ngwele road is rather steep...even in the car. Further down the Umgeni valley there are some more monsters. You use them to get out of the valley when seconding in Dusi canoe race. Think it's Fannin Road and further down the valley is Khululeka Drive which goes up towards the M5. Has anybody ridden these?

    What about Old Howick Road (Pmb to Hilton,KZN)? Especially in mid summer in the middle of the day:)

    Where is he located? Perhaps get a hubber you know to meet the guy and make a cash payment and receive the good there and then...
