lastly for me the disappointment of the season must be Schummi Jnr, sadly.

Nah don’t be too harsh in him. He was faster than MaSePin all year even if the results don’t show it, mostly because MaseRussian used little Schumies set ups.

Haas are looking forward to next years car with the input the little apple has given.

I hope you are right. Maybe I am expecting a little too much of him, given that he has the CORRECT surname. One can dream I suppose...

Masekind is really crap, just goes to show what money can do. Same goes for Lance just-Strolling-around.

Yeah he’s not his dad but he was pretty good in F2 . Took a year to learn and then in his 2nd year he was title contender. There’s a reason other than his name and Ferrari backing that HAAS are keeping him. Inside chatter is that he’s one of the more promising prospects especially when you compare what he is driving to what others were given to drive in their first year.

Merc and Ham are under investigation for skipping the press conferences yesterday and not parking his car on the straight next to max and Carlos ( required under the sporting regs if you finish in the podium positions )

now I'm wondering if they'll no-show the fia gala Thursday 👀

Vettel received a hefty penalty for his Canada 2018 antics and that was more justifiable.
let’s see if Lewis gets all the penalties he deserves from here on

UNFORTUNATELY F1 is covered by the BBC which is British, whom have employed Brittish has-beens and ex-merc drivers still enjoying merc royalties to present and be their experts.

....so biased to a 7 time undeserved world champion? whom always had the FIA in one pocket and driving the very best equipment on the grid? whom have thus actually been undeservedly knighted by the queen for his whatever they think he did so brilliantly???.... never... why would the BBC and its employees ever be biased and not side with the hero of F1 and the greatest driver ever to grace the grid???

Jissie, one really needs distrust one's AutoRead brain. I never looked at the actual twitter handle.

Tim Hoakes...

My brain is fried from this year. AND, I can almost imagine Tim saying something like this.

Don't worry - I follow a few people on Twitter and you aren't the first one to get caught out!  The stuff that account posts is just enough to make you think Noakes might actually have posted it - it's that close!

So now Ferrari are unhappy with Michael Masi allowing lapped cars between the two lead cars, to unlap themselves...

This, while keeping the lapped cars between the third placed Ferrari of Carlos Sainz, who was still competing for the final podium position!

This just gets more and more messy...!

Might have been easier to stick to the rules, rather than “want to go motor racing”... for one lap!

I don't understand, Sainz then finished 3rd?

Where are the lapped cars they refer to? Between him and Max? So they think they could have had a shot at 2nd? Seriously?! Did they watch the same race that we did?

I think this is just fishing for some sort of payout/compensation while everyone else is bashing on the FIA.

(I want to draw parallels between the 2020 US elections and these court cases, but unfortunately Rudby Gioliani was on more solid ground with his lawsuits that any of these)

PS. Last paragraph said completely TIC

I feel we deserved a better ending to the season as fans, than what we got on Sunday with that weird decision from Masi. I'm thinking Masi might have some stock in Netflix...?

A red flag would probably have been better if he was going to bend rules anyway. Max on softs would probably have still taken the win given how well the RB went on softs and low fuel, but having to do so against a car able to compete, not a sitting duck. Anyway it is what it is.

All this post race drama is rather pointless. Lewis accepted defeat already and quite graciously it must be said, good on him. Max a deserving WDC, nobody could argue against that.

Onto 2022 😁

There were lapped cars behind Max and in front of Sainz which were not released before the last lap restart. Therefore, Sainz was disadvantaged by competing cars further back who had fresher, faster compound tires that he had to defend against on older hard compound tires...

Lets see if all this comes into play while the events of the Race Director’s decisions are being scrutinized

I absolutely agree that the season is over. However, going into 2022 racing calendar all of the issues encountered in 2021 will definitely be raised for clarity in the rules.

Already, it has caused Teams to longer have direct contact with the Race Director during races.... Hhhmmmmmmm, surely that decision didn’t need to wait till after the final race....! It was clear and obvious prior to the race.

But, Sainz did not lose his position on that final lap. He finished 3rd,behind Lewis . I don't see how it disadvantaged him.
