Didn't those used to be called 'Stiffies' ?

 

You cant walk around the office asking 'Who has a stiffie' or saying things like 'here, use my stiffie' 

They were, but only in ZA.

The rest of the world called them floppy's, where we only used that term for the 5 1/4 inch disks.

a hot chick holding one and saying "I'd rather have a 3 1/2" Stiffy than a 5 1/4" Floppy"

This will sound like a well made story, but completely coincidental.

An engineer from one of our business units came asking if we had stiffy disks because they have some really old equipment out in the field that they need to service.
