Bateleur1 Posted February 27, 2018 Share Gloves are great when working with a dirty chain before work Rope, well I have cycled with frames, wheels, forks and a whole lot of other stuff strapped to my back pack and it also useful if someone has a mechanical and can not pedal ... just tow them then. Also have a set of gloves in my "Toolbox" Hairy

Bateleur1 Posted February 27, 2018 Share they also work well in winter to slip over or under your gloves Yip do that as well. Well this week is just beyond cold at the moment. Not even thinking about cycling in -15. But by the weekend the temps will lift and although there is rain predicted for next week, there might be a chance of commuting. Looking forward to it. Hairy Posted February 27, 2018 Share Use glue from match kit for deep gashes. would need supa glue for that .. .don't think a rubber cement glue will do the trick ... might just have to drop a small supa glue into that pack

During my finals exams, I stayed in my cleats while writing. Every teacher looked at me strangely when walking through the tables. I did not mind, my MTB shoes are comfy and don't want to carry my school shoes with. DJR

Andrew_Smith Posted March 7, 2018 Share I take my hat off to those commuting to Stellies in the mornings. My friend and I went for a Stellies Coffee loop this morning and left 06:20 from Bellville on our way to Polka Drive. The traffic was insane in-and-around Stellenbosch. So morning rides to Stellies in the week is definitely out for us. EDIT: Still lucky to be on a bike rather than in a car. And I am still riding with my sleaveless high-vizz vest over my short sleave shirt in the morning, though this morning I had to zip it halfway ... at 5:30 in the morning. Two blocks into the commute the vest is opened. Bateleur1
