Pikey, it was nice to meet you and the family. Sorry there were some tears involved, but Ruby's settling in. She spent a while outside, reluctant to come in, so I left the front door open while the rest of us dozed all over the lounge. Ghost sat with her outside. Eventually, I woke up at about midnight, and went outside and she came in without too much coaxing...and slept between Ghost and Scar. Wolfed down her food this morning...! She also took to the trotters they all got as a treat this morn. Will send ya some more pics later, but these are from yesterday...

Pikey I would have loved to take her too, I'm sure she would have had a ball on my farm with all our other slightly mad pets, and Max. Barry good on you buddy. You are going to have a dog sanctuary there one day!!!

Tumbles, YOU DA MAN!!!!

Well done, once again.

I fell in love when I saw her pic. And tried to tell myself that I just couldn't and even posted that the pack was getting settled and all that...pfft! Last week, and most of the weekend, my life has been anything but settled...destroyed geyser, blown electrics at home, destroyed walls and floors, etc, etc...so my life is never settled. Guess it'd be boring if it was!

As soon as Pikey's family brought Ruby around, I knew my excuses for not taking her were useless...she came to me the first time I called her name, and she gave my dogs a bit of what-for if they got too close at first. She's big enough and confident enough to find her place in a hierarchy to is more akin to anarchy!

Good on you, Mate.

You will get just compensation one day, for all the good you do to the less fortunate animals.

As they say after all, a Dog is mans best friend.

Heh tumbleweed

The pleasure was ours,we had lots of tears & emotion on the trip home. And a feeling of emptiness when we returned home. Putting Lacey to bed last night we had to comfort here and reassure her that ruby is going to have a ball with her new friends.

The house felt very empty last night and is going to take some getting used to that's for sure. My wife was very tearful still last night, and I felt really bad. But keep telling myself it's the best option for ruby and that's what matters.

This morning I let Lacey read your post and she the pics, she smiled and felt a bit better and had a 1000 questions as she usually does.

Once again a big thank you tumbleweed,I am sure beyond any doubt that she will be better off once she settles down and finds her feet. She loves human interaction and craves it and I know that's what she will get plus more from your home.

????????

Lacey was a very brave girl, and gave me such a lovely hug! Tell her to write down all the questions she has, and I'll be only too happy to answer each and every one of them!

Find her feet?!! Mate, you never have to find feet that big, because it's impossible to lose them!
