My stunning daughter

attachicon.gifIMG-20190710-WA0000.jpg

I grew up in the Free State and did a lot of hunting with whippets and greyhounds in the winter months...my particular job was to keep the whippet wrapped up and warm on the cold nights and mornings for the hunts. My spot was sitting in the center of the seat of the Hi-Lux with the whippet on my lap in a blanket. Once spotting the hare, she was launched...such fond memories of them.

Excellent man. Ja we also have greyhounds. Done many hunts with them. Fantastic memories.

When I start packing, Rufus knows and he positions himself to not get left behind. Poor thing stayed rooted to that spot in front of his ramp for about an hour while we got ready to go!

Ag shame man..it is so sweet.

You need ridges on that ramp DJR. Also, as an engineer you know, it will soon start getting a bit to steep, so you might need to make it longer and a bit wider. Sides will also help as the age kicks in.

You have a supplement with the food ?

I covered the ramp in a knobbly rubber which gives great traction, but it is already getting a bit steep. Originally I made it mainly because I didn't want the dogs jumping down from that height and injuring a front leg, which they easily do, but now it is equally necessary for getting up. I normally feed him a pellet for "allergy prone dogs" because he tends to get itchy and scratchy and that helps a lot, but I recently started giving him a "senior" pellet also and hope it will work.

How do you say no to this face

He first cried so that I would let him into the office..now if you have ever heard a beagle cry..it is the same as a toddler crying as if the world is going to end ...such a sad howl.
