Gave me helmet hair, solution is to shave my head now.

 

Yip, also shave my hair for cycling. Wife hates it...

I struggle getting out of bed early in the morning for work, but am happy to wake up at 4am to do the Wednesday morning Table Mountain rides.

Is this normal?

2 words - Helmet Tan!

 

In winter its easy - I just use a buff or similar to keep warm and keep the sun out - but in summer, you want the ventilation - result is a tan pattern that makes me look like an ET... :D Sunblock doesn't work as ends up in the eyes - not fun. So I have reconciled with my stripes now and wear them as a badge of honour.... :thumbup:

Touch wood, haven't come off my bike for the past 30 years. Call me a wuss.

 

The strange thing cycling does to my body? On a cold ride, things shrink so much I think I've turned into a woman.
