Hey Guys, so December I’ll be heading to the Drakensberg for some hiking. Unfortunately my dslr got stolen outside of my insurance policy parameters.

So I’m taking my iPhone 8+ as my camera.

Which camera app is worthwhile buying to get the best shots?

Also, do these clip on lenses offer any benefit? Some of them are pretty pricey and I’m a bit skeptical.

I mainly use Lightroom Mobile and Snapseed, and sometimes PS Express.

The clip on lenses are ok, nothing like lenses you'll get on a DSLR, but they do an alright job.

This is the one I had when I had my iPhone 5. I mainly used the macro lens, and it worked great:

Doesn't the iphone 8+ have 2 lenses? Wouldn't you need get one something that works with both together?

O wow, My last phone was a G4, its sitting at home. Maybe I should take it out and take some pics. Somehow I don't think they will turn out as good as yours though. Those are some good pics.

Thanks man, I appreciate that. The G4 has a really good camera, and with some tweaking in a decent app, you can produce pretty decent pictures. Phones have come on leaps and bounds over the past few years. Plus the full manual mode is really helpful, the sunset/game viewing vehicle photo was done in manual to force a darker scene.
