So I tried Moreflavour, Cape Coffee Beans and Colombo.

Not available from Cape Coffee Beans or Colombo and no response yet from Moreflavour.

@Alouette3 Did you have any luck with that file?

We have success! Slightly different in design but actually an improvement. I did manage to crack the part due to the plastic used to print being fairly hard, so the flex caused when inserting the lip that is supposed to capture the bur cracked the part. It still worked even with the part broken.

I will just get the lip removed in the next print.

The Saeco shop in Rosebank has closed down - I think these guys are their replacement - https://www.coffeeunplugged.co.za/repairs/ - but don't quote me.

Any feedback available on the Bialetti moka express pots? Are they worth it? What is the coffee like?

Yes - worth it - fresh coffee and a decent grinder and they make a great setup for home and travel.

(unless you like frothed milk drinks that is....)

Great thanks! Nope froth does not bother me too much. Just need a setup with repeatable results without too much hassle. (Without breaking the bank). A decent grinder is a must then?

Grinder is more important than the machine - scroll back and there are lots of discussions on hand grinders in this thread

Totally agree on this, I have restaurant grade machine at home (back up in case I have a breakdown at work, they don’t store well as far as I’m concerned), but when the grinder gives me *** it’s bad news!

You can have the best machine on earth and the best coffee but if you grind it *** it’s *** coffee at a price! Basically like the computer saying, garbage in = garbage out

Just make sure you get the size that you will use most often, the coffee grinds holder has to be filled up for them to work properly, you can't get a 6 cup and only half full it . And by cup they mean espresso shot, so 2 cup is a double shot.

My 8 cup fills a mug nicely.

Hi, I'm interested in this Jack Espresso Leveler. I know there are similar tools available e.g on CCB but I'm interested in this one particularly. Anyone importing?
