Also - there was a group test by (I think) Enduro MTB magazine, recently. Conti came out tops, but the best performing tyre was the MM. My new bike came fitted with the Continental Der Baron Apex Protection and the grip in the mud/slop/moist loam is absolutley insane. Never experienced that level of grip before in those conditions. That being said, I don't think they'll be great on hardpack/loose-over-hardpack as the knobs are quite widely spaced. The Kaizer has tighter spacing and should suit drier conditions better. Bizkit031 Posted February 21, 2017 Share just beware - teh Ibex is good, but show it a wet root and its feet go out from under it faster than a russian hooker. It's also very pressure sensitive.
